Hello again, here is a card I made this evening based on a sketch from the Truly Scrumptious blog, and the pollycraft challenge to use a polly craft image and Stick with pink as your main colour. It was so much fun to make! I am loving double sided tape it finishes everything soooo much better than a glue stick!
So the image is milly from pollycraft and the little pink flowers are kaiser craft, ribbons and buttons from spotlight and the paper is from a big box i got off ebay when I first started thinking about scrapbooking but had no idea what I was doing. I got over 1000 sheets for $140 including postage lol sounded like a bargain to me!
Oh and I even did the inside to this card, first time for me but I see alot of other crafty ladies out there doing it, I'll have to get some smaller alphabets or a 'happy birthday' stamp :)

Let me know what you think, I I think this is my best so far!!

Here I have followed the sketch over at Card Patterns, I only found this blog today and very glad I came across it! Lots of great work from the design team. When making this card I decided I need to improve my ribbon stash! It took me a while playing around with it and i changed the card colour a few times, settled with this nice light one.
Thanks for looking!!
Follow the link to view the sketch!
I made this little gift card for John's parents to say thanks for looking after our girls when i work firday afternoon, and John has bought them 1.5 kilos of local Gippsland honey, cold extacted and its produced in Tostaree and soooo yummy! bargain at $15, anyway I wanted to make a little card to go with it!
I tried to follow the sketch, rotated the base to landscape but stayed true to everything else i thought, and even drew the bee myself! Popped a bit of foam tape behind him so he would stand out a bit more. Button and ribbons are from spotlight and the lettering are 'the paper studio' clear alpha stamps.
Any comments let me know what u think I'd love to hear what you have to say :) and follow the link at the bottom to see the fab sketches by Tamara and the lovely work by the Design team, I think she might be looking for new team members so hop on over and see what you need to do!!
Thanks for looking :)

Well I just want to say thanks for taking the time to have a look at this one, I'm pretty happy with how this LO turned out, close enough to how i pictured it in my head. The challenge over at 1,2,3 was use a shape base not a square or circle, but some other shape, no hearts and of a nature theme. I think i covered all those pretty well :) Any comments please let me know what you think!I used real feathers in the tail that Aimee and I collected in the chook pen and chipboard letters, I'm pretty sure they're from spotlight, learning that I'll have to keep my packaging so i can refer to it, i usually recycle it or throw it out. I find the backing cards in alot of packaging are nice and shiny and can be used for making your own embellishments. I'm saving mine up to use with my Bigkick i recently bought off ebay it was $140 plus postage, AU dollars of course is that a good price? I didn't really shop around for it which is very unlike me! I do love a good bargain...
Anyway getting back to the point if you want to see what other people have created and maybe even submit your own work follow the link, this challenge closes at the end of Feb so be quick!!
Thanks again for looking!

Here is the card i made using the sketch over at Mojo Monday. I went over my stamps with a silver pen because the brown ink I had originally used dried alot lighter than it stamped and was hardly visable. I love using textured paper, the pieces I have used here are from a pack from spotlight. One day I'm going to have a go at making my own, I think it would be fun! & good to recycle all those little scraps.
Follow the link below to see the wonderful sketchs and all the other fab cards that have been submitted, and the DT have some really lovely ones, I love Julies work! Thanks for looking :)

Over at Scrappy hours the theme is Birthday and i think birthday cards are great! I always have a birthday coming up! This one I have made for my Friend Kate at work, its not her Birthday for another 2 weeks but she loves pink and i wanted to try making the button flowers and i thought pink would be nice. i bought a roll of double sided foam mounting tape stuff this morning in spotlight, and used that to stick the 2 and 9, they looked too flat without it next to the flowers. I used my sizzix Simple Impressions embossing folder for the Happy Birthday.

Feeling pretty good with myself, 2 cards in one sitting and happy with both:) after such a late night last night it was a task getting the girls settled for bed, but once they were sleeping i thought just one card before bed... ended up with 2! This is the first one i made following a sketch from card sketch #82 from 'sketches by tamara' on thursday follow the link to see the sketch http://sketchesbytamara.blogspot.com/2009/02/card-sketch-82.html there are some very talented people on the design team! The stamps i used are love, elsie clear stamps 'josie'. Thanks for looking!
The second card is from 'our creative corner' sketch. I decided to stick with browns, maybe because i was craving chocolate but none in the house. The stamps I used are from Stampin' up Baroque Motifs collection. Check out 'our creative corner' by following the link!! http://ourcreativecorner6.blogspot.com/

This is my second go at making a card when following a theme or sketch. It's a pretty basic card. This sketch comes from http://mojomonday.blogspot.com/ week 73 challenge, design team have done an awesome job! maybe with practice I can get that good :) the birds were a free download from the pollycraft website, link from http://pollycraftdesigns.blogspot.com/ , they have so much nice stuff pity they dont ship to Australia.
I made this card for the sketch over at http://scrappyhour.wordpress.com/ the theme was taken from the tin man from wizard of oz, use the colour silver and include one heart. I've only just started trying cards, i find scrapbooking alot easier as i draw inspiration from the photos i use.

This is John, my 'eye candy'.
Over at 2S4U http://2sketches4you.blogspot.com/ they have an 'eye candy 4 blog candy' theme for up-coming valentines day, post a photo of the one who makes your heart pitter patter and post a link on their site for a chance to win!
Every morning i wake up next to John, and feel like the luckiest girl in the world. He is a fantastic Dad and a hard worker. Occasionally he suprises me by bringing home a scrapbooking or cardmaking magazine just because. He is a good listener and fun to be around. I'd be lost wothout him.

I used the LO from the beary box challenge for this week when I made this one. I've been playing aong with the challenges for a few weeks now, but this is the first I've put online. After looking at all the fab sketches I'm wondering how I ever managed to scrapbook without them! visit beary box here >> http://www.bearybox.blogspot.com/ Charlotte and John on our holiday to Bright over New Years Eve, the weather was perfect every day! I've just noticed I forgot to put a date on it! with a memory like mine i need to write down everything :)
Aimee had her first day at kinder on Friday, only from 9 until 1130. when i dropped her off she kept saying you can go now Mum, and when i picked her up she didnt want to go, she said she wasnt ready to go home yet. Kinder again today 9 until 1230, and I must admit I am enjoying these couple of relaxing hours (almost) to myself :) Charlotte had a little nap when we first got home, and it feels strange being in the house in complete quiet so i had to put the radio on.
Aimee is very helpful getting ready in the morning, gets herself dressed and finds her hat, packs her lunchbox and reminds me to fill her drink bottle.
She already knows alot of the kids as we attended the 3's playgroup held there last year.
Well I better get going because soon it will be time to go and pick her up!
