OCC + CCT :)

Hello! And thanks for stopping by... here I have a card made following the sketch at OCC. Well I started out following it, but couldnt find an image I liked on a rectangle so I went with a spare image i'd stamped on an oval when making a Birthday card for my boss earlier in the week, but I can still see the sketch in there... hope you can too!! I've also added some little rhinestones to the steam so I hope it qualifies over at Cute Card Thursday! for the bit o' bling challenge.
I'm thinking about giving away some blog candy for June, everyone else seems to do it, so ill get a couple of my favourite scrappy things together in the next week or two. I'm thinking a button caddy and maybe some of the chipboard I have used on this card? What does everyone think? Ribbons? Papers? Maybe a colour theme? I think I would like to post worldwide too.... :)
Thanks for looking, and as always would love to hear what you think! Happy blogging xxx
White card stock WorldWin Treasures, re-cycled brown corrugated card, ribbons, lace and rhinestones from my stash, buttons from o sew button caddy, jute string (a favourite of mine) and Heidi Swapp chipboard alpha 'center of attention' in pink. Image is from Stampin' up 'like it a latte', and coloured with derwents.

Simon Says Sketch! a little late.. lol

Well here I am with an extremely late post for the sketch over at Simon Says Stamp Challenge. They're posting a new challenge TODAY so hop on over and see what you can create!
I'll put away for Christmas, and it's smaller than what I usually make, I used a piece of 12x12 to make three cards not two, mainly becasue Aimee was sitting to craft with me and I didnt want the whole piece used up incase I needed some extra. She changed her mind and used a pink piece instead, my 4 year old is pretty predictive lately :) As always would love to hear what you think and thanks for stopping in. best go and link up now before its tooooo late, which it probably always is lol oh well. BYE! Paper used is 'Thyme Green' WorldWin Treasures,Kellp Panacci 'O Christmas Tree' and Rebekka Erickson 'Carols' Ribbons, flowers and rhinestone/heart brads from my stash, jute string, Cherish from Stampin' up 'lexicon of love' and Cuttlebug 'Tag Alongs'

Blog candy

Hi again, just wanted to post some fab blog candy I found when checking out what other people were making for the same challenges I have just completed.
Shari @ Scraps from Midway has a lovely stamp set from tailored expressions to give away ending June 11th and Josianne @ Card Making Galore has a mixed lot of goodies!! Hop on over to each blog and check out what you have to do to get in the draw!!

Kazans sketch #27 & dutch dare

Here is a card I made for my boss' birthday this Saturday from Kazans fab sketch at 2Sketches4You. I had also made her a birthday card earlier but since a few girls from work and I are putting in to get her a gift I thought something with a cappucino on it would be more appropriate... we all work at Dong King :) it also works for the challenge at Dutch Dare Card Challenge- use glitter/bling. I lined the rim on the cup with rhinestones becasue I didnt stamp the froth close enough to the cup. It took ages to thread the jute string thru the buttons, the jute srting kept fraying out, and the holes aren't big enough to fit the needle that has an eye big enough for the jute string, so I found a piece of thin wire to help pull it thru and got it done.
White base card pure white WorldWin Treasures, Kelly Panacci floral crochet-pink paper and dark pink paper from my scrap stash, Image is from Stampin' up 'like it a latte', buttons from o sew button caddy, ribbon from scrap and stamp attack, jute string, Kelly Panacci birthday rub-on transfers for sentiment. Fiskars for scalloped edges and oval image.
As always I would love to hear what you think! Thanks for stopping by and happy blogging xx

What a long post!!

Well... it's only been 2 weeks but feels like longer! While my computer was getting serviced I got a bit of cleaning and organising done in the sunroom, which is where our computer is. My sister has an old flat-top desk in storage so since she has no plans to come home for a while I've asked her if i can buy it off her, and she says if I can organise to get it here no worries. It will be perfect for scrapping on and I wont have to listen to MR. Whinge when there is no room to sit at the dining table to eat tea... lol.
But John doesnt like this idea, now that I am tidy and there isnt stuff stacked on stuff stacked on stuff he thinks we could put a TV in here... or a fish tank. And when I say fish tank I'm talking 4foot lol. I said he has a whole shed that he wont let me put things in, so no. The sunroom is mine. I've set up the girls play kitchen at one end next to the old couches (which John can take to the shed to sit on and watch his TV if he wants!) and I'm on the lookout for a little wooden clothesline for the dolls clothes. I should have a look on ebay... I'll pop that on the list of things to do today.
Charlotte turned 1 on Saturday!! I cannot believe how fast this last year has flown! We bought her a truck with a tipping tray, a dressing gown and slippers, and I'm going to get her a cabbage patch newborn once it comes in, I had to order it. We still have all the baby toys from when Aimee was little so it was sort of hard to decide what to get. John's parents have bought her a trike with a trailer :) so once she can ride that I'm sure Aimee will be giving her races up and down the drive way!
Oh and here is a LO i put together following the sketch at Beary Box but that was hmm... 2 weeks ago I think, LO #25 and I couldnt up load it before getting the computer serviced. They post great LO sketch every Monday and Card sketch every Thursday so hop over and check out what the prize is, there is one lucky winner each week!
I've jotted down some sketches and will hopefully be back later with some cards! Thanks for stopping by and happy blogging :)

CP #14 and a party animal

Just a quick post to show you the card I made following the sketch #14 over at Card Patterns
They post great sketches evey week and even have some candy to give away so pop over and see what you can create with their sketch. They also have a DT call on but I think it closes tomorrow (Friday)
All paper from my stash, rhinestone brads from scrap and stamp attack, stamp from lexicon of love stampin up, flowers from a bag of blooms, cuttlebug embossing folders... ribbon buckle from ebay and ribbon from the warehouse.

I've also made a card following the challenge over at The Penny Black Saturday Challenge Black, White plus one other. my one other was light blue as you can see. I realized I didnt have any white or black cardstock ( so I'm getting some today) so I had to design my card around the base cover. I popped my penny black image 'party bound' on the inside of the card and used my fiskars cutting mat and stencils to make the hole in the front. I had alot of fun with this card. She is coloured with my derwents too, still not confident with my Tombo markers.

All paper comes from my stash, image is penny black, thickers lettering, ribbon from spotlight, flowers are a bag of blooms and rhinestone brad is from scrap and stamp attack and rhinestones on the little flowers from ebay.

I'm having some trouble with my computer so I'm dropping it off at the fix-it shop today and hopefully will have it back Saturday! Happy blogging and Thanks for stopping by!! See you next week :(

Not just a card...

Good morning, I've got a couple of things to post today, well I will start with a card I made following the sketch over at OCC I think it will also qualify for Michelles challenge april showers bring may flowers and over at papertake weekly the challenge is animal antics and with the cute little penny black hedgehog I think it qualifies there too!

All paper comes from my stash, heart brads are paper blocks antique gold, image is penny black greetings and coloured with derwents.

Also I've got a Milo tin I decorated with button and ribbon flowers, to be a pencil tin that fits Michelles Challenge at scrappy hours so I'll pop my link in the comment section there too!

I also just wanted to post a photo of Aimee from kinder on Tuesday, they had croc stars come to visit and the kids loved it! She is pictured with the lady who's name I cannot remember and a baby fresh water crocodile. They also had a python, 4 year old croc, a family of bearded dragons that stacked on top of each other (all the kids loved it!), a turtle, a lizard with a tail that looked like his head and we learnt that those ones mate for life, so if their partner gets run over by a car or chopped with a shovel they dont mate anymore which is why there numbers are low.

Card Patterns #13

Well I must admit I found this sketch over at Card Patterns a bit of a challenge as I wanted to make a card for a boy turning 5, but I dont have any boy-ish stamps and I did try to draw my own rocket ship to go with the stars... but not happy enough with it to put it on a card. No ribbons, buttons, flowers or rhinestones... just paper. I have rotated the sketch and put my pieces on angles as it didnt look right straight. I'll have a quick look for a stamp when I'm in town this afternoon even tho I promised John I would stop spending for a month...
The DT have made some excellent cards based on the sketch, please pop over to card patterns and check them out!!
As always, thanks for stopping by and would love to hear what you think, or any tips on making cards for boys. Happy Blogging!!

Simon Says Recipe

Here is a card I made this morning for the recipe over at Simon Says. Now I know it doesnt have a sentiment or even an image but I bought a magazine that has quick tips on using heat guns and John says he has one in the shed, and as I've never seen one before let alone use one I thought I may try embossing a sentiment longways next to the ribbon, but I'm guessing you need special something possibly embossing powder? to do that, so when I'm in town on Thursday I will pop by the scrapbooking shop and ask what I need. If it goes ok I can post another photo once I'm done!
It will possibly become a mothers day card for John's Mum :)
so It has 1x Ribbon 2x Papers and 3x Buttons. I made it with two-folds but it is giving me more ideas for my next card, just waiting for some monday sketches to be posted :P
Thanks for stopping by and as always would love to hear what you think, and pop over to simon says and see what you can come up with following the recipe! Happy blogging!!

ICS + Scrappy hours + lots of flowers!

Good morning! Well just... here is my card based on the current sketch over at inspirational card sketches. As soon as I saw it I just knew I was going to use flowers, so I could combine it with Michelles challenge over at Scrappy Hours "april showers bring may flowers".
Dawn at ICS also has a DT call on so if you're interested pop over and see what you have to do to be considered!
I had alot of fun creating this card and will save it for my boss's Birthday later in the month.
All papers are from my stash, flowers are a bag of blooms, kaiser craft brads, cuttlebug for the tags and stampin' up for the stamped seniments, like it a latte and lexicon of love. As always would love to hear what you think of my card :) Thanks for stopping by and happy blogging :)

Kazans sketch #25

Hello again, just posting the card I have just finished for Kazans sketch #25 over at 2 sketches 4 you I really enjoyed this sketch, was a good chance to test out some new things I bought this morning :) Pulled out my Mums old sewing machine to do some stitching and little silver eyelets with my new fiskars eyelet setter and fiskars star stencil, all paper form my stash and the lettering is thickers. Also did a little decoration on the inside but sadly the sun has gone down so my photos not the best.
It's for one of Aimee's little friends 5th birthday coming up this year.

Also we started out vegie patch for winter, just small for the first one and we'll see how it goes :) we have strawberrys, celery, capsicum, chives, broccoli and cauliflower and potatoes. This is Aimee and John after everything was planted. Aimee wanted to dig for gold, not plant vegies.

And as always I would love to hear what you think of my card :) Thanks for stopping by and happy blogging xx

Beary box #24 and Card Patterns #12

Well it feels like I haven't posted anything in ages, and same goes for crafting! I've been so busy trying to baby-proof our house in the midst of kitchen renovations, then throw in easter and John's holidays... I just dont know where the time has gone.
Anyway I'm just quickly posting 2 cards I have whipped up this morning, the first is a First birthday card and the sketch comes from beary box http://bearybox.blogspot.com/
They post 2 sketches each week, one for LO on Monday and one for cards on Thurdays. The DT always does a fab job and Joeys cards are always so detailed!
The second is for the sketch over at card patterns http://cardpatterns.blogspot.com/
I have flipped the sketch on it's side
Both the sites have some fantastic candy up for grabs so if you haven't already, please do pop on over and try the sketch for yourself!
Well I'm in a hurry! I now have to rush off and get Aimee from kinder then head to work for the evening, hopefully be back on the weekend sometime with another card or LO or something... I think we're also planning on planting our winter vegies this weekend, John has dug us a nice patch over by the chook pen so hopefully its not too frosty and we can take Charlotte out to watch.
Thanks for stopping by, happy blogging!!

Friends...
