waiting... for U.

Good afternoon fellow bloggers :) Here is a double LO I created using the fab sketch #30 over at Beary Box. The work from the DT fantastic, always is! I started the left page with an ultrasound photo of Aimee at 12.5 weeks and mirrored what I'd done for the other ultrasound photo of her at 19.5 weeks. I'm so happy I've finally used these photos! Over at Use Your Stash They want to see 3 differnt patterned papers from 3 different manufacturers... and they have an awesome paper pack to give away so hop over and see what you can create!!!
I've used WorldWin Treasures Crafty Brown cardstock for the base, the pink and green patterned papers are Dena, Yellow speckled card from stash unsure of the brand, and the spotty yellow paper with my journalling is stampin' up. I've used 2 rub-ons from Royal & Langnickel baby sentiments, kaisercraft brads, heidi swapp chipboard lettering, and my fiskars oval template and shape cutter to trim the scalloped edge and ovals. I've decided I'll have a break from crafting AND blogging until Saturday (if I can handle the withdrawals) because I really need to catch up on the housework, I'm suprised John hasn't said anything yet. My craft cupboard is a mess too so I will have time to clean that up aswell. Thanks for stopping by and please check out my blog candy while you're here, there is only 1 week left until I draw a lucky winner out of a hat ;) Happy blogging xx

2 in 1

Hello to you all and Thanks so much for stopping by :) I'm here to post my take on the sketch #20 over at Card Patterns this week, what a fun sketch to work with! I've followed directions from the fabulous and talented Larua Davis, she made a fantastic pocket card and I thought it looked like fun and wanted to give it a go. And I think the tag also qualifies me for this weeks challenge over at Cute Card Thursday!
If you haven't seen Lauras work before please hop over to her blog, it is simply full of fantastic cards, and so much inspiration! She also co-hosts the fab card-challenge blog 2Sketches4You where you will see so much amazing talent, and they have just posted the top 10 cards for the Ultimate Card Showdown!
To make I've used all papers from stash, I think the floral paper is Dena, bag of blooms pink and white for the flowers, butterfly from spotlight, ribbon and rhinestones and the brad from scrap and stamp attack, eyelets from american crafts. I've also used my fiskars circle template and shape cutter for the rounded edge on the tag, and the scallpoed edges.
If you have time please enter my blog candy while you're here! Happy blogging xx

Pencil tin for use your stash

Here is a pencil tin I made for the paint challenge over at Use Your Stash. I covered an old milo tin with re-cycled corrugated cardboard from one of toys packaging, then I made a heart shape stencil and John helped me spray it with chrome paint, then I added some ribbons, buttons and rhinestones. Im so late with this post I dont know where the week has gone!! I've never used paint before but I'm loving the shine this one has and I may be using it more in the future... If John will let me into his shed!
Thanks for stopping by and if you have time please check out my blog candy! Happy blogging xx
I've used... ribbons from stash, buttons from beutron, rhinestones from scrap and stamp attack, ribbon buckle from ebay, I used cuttlebug heart #1 die for the small card hearts. and John's chrome spray paint

a love to last a lifetime

Goodmorning! Just a quick post with a LO I made following the fab sketch over at Beary Box and the challenge from Scrapping out LOUD brown, blue and cream (or white). The DT's from both sites have some fantasic samples to show you so hop on over and check them out!! I really enjoyed making this LO and glad I finally used these photos of John and Charlotte, they have been sitting on the top of the pile for a while.
I've used patterned paper from Dena, Heidi swapp centre of attention chipboard letters in white, fiskars stars template and shapcutter for the trim, re-cycled card for the hearts and cuttlebug hearts #1 die, buttons from beutron and I typed and printed the journalling becasue John didn't seem keen to do it for me, I think he just wasn't sure what to write.
Thanks for stopping and by and please leave a comment so I know you have been and I can come visit you! If you have time please check out my blog candy, link up the top! only 10 days left!! Now I really have to go get stuck into the housework before John gets home from work :P

Hazels candy

Just a reminder that Hazel over at my crafty outlook has some blog candy finishing tomorrow so hurry on over and see what you have to do to be in with a chance of winning!! Check out her crafty creations while you're there!

Congratulations

Here is a card I made based of the fab card sketch over at Beary Box Blog, they also have a great LO sketch that I haven't quite finished, I want John to do the journalling for it since it's photos of him and Charlotte. I am super excited as I was the winner at beary box last week for a LO I did following one of their fantastic sketches!!!!
I've rotated the sketch, and placed the sentiment in a different spot. Also I pulled out the eyelets and setters I just had to have a little while ago, but have hardly used... I've used the colour challenge on Thursday June 11th from Colour create but they have a new one out now I was a bit behind, but I liked the colour combo and wanted to give it a go.
I've used a smooth white card I found in my stash, floral paper is Dena, pink paper from stash, ribbon from spotlight, eyelets are american crafts elements, re-cycled corrugated card from toy packaging for the hearts, and buttons from beutron. I also used my fiskars circles template and shapecutter, and fiskars eyelet tool setter.
I think we'll use this as a card for some friends who recently got engaged, if John wants to anyway :)
Thanks for stopping by and would love to hear what you think, leave me a comment so I can come visit you! Oh and If you have time please check out my blog candy while you're here! Happy Blogging xx

Made with Love

For some reason I am excited to post this card for you all to see today :) I am quite proud of how it turned out. I started it last night after we recieved an invitation to John's friends wedding. I followed Lauras fab sketch #28 from 2Sketches4You I love the symetry and simpleness, allows for so many different interpretations! And over at The Pink Elephant They have a wedding theme. I was going to put a sentiment up the top, but I cant think of anything I like that fits, I thought maybe "Love is in the air..." I'll have to get some rub ons in town tomorrow, but I'm quite happy to leave it. I did want to try distressing the edges of the brown and green papers and then sewing but I packed my sewing machine away until I get a desk in here sooo... maybe I'll try distressing on my next card. I've seen so many fab cards that makes me want to try it!
I'm going to make a little paper pocket on the inside as they have asked for money (in a nice way with a poem) instead of gifts.
I hope everyone out there is having a wonderful and creative day :) I surley am! Thanks for stopping by and as always would love to hear what you think! Please have a look at my blog candy too... there's a link up top! Happy blogging xx
I used WorldWin Treasures white cardstock for the base, brown paper from my stash, the green spotty paper, and bird paper is possibly Dena? if thats a brand, I got it off ebay in a big box and some has lables and some doesn't. Flowers are bag of blooms, ribbon from stash and lace from spotlight, button from beutron, for the birds I used a free download from Aussie Scrapbooking Bird/Tree cutouts. The little charm is from ebay, I think I got 20 for $2 they are etched in each side with 'made with love'.

Cherish for CP #19

Here is a pretty gift box I have made following the fab sketch #19 over at Card Patterns. Pop over and see the fantastic work from the DT and guest designer Karen.
It's an empty cheese and biscuts box covered with papers from my stash, cherish stamp is stampin' up lexicon of love, ribbons from spotlight, flowers are a bag of blooms, button from beutron, and I've used fiskars oval template and shapecutter.
I really enjoyed making this, I love to re-cycle. Hopefully one of my friends has a baby girl soon! It's just the right size for a bottle of baby powder, a shampoo and bath lotion and a facewasher. Well now that the important stuff is out of the way, I had better find some motivation and get the housework done before Charlotte wakes up from her nap!
Hopefully I will have a desk here on Saturday to put in the sunroom just for scrapping :D Reece will bring it out if he comes to install the new smoke detectors. I stopped using the dining table and have been using the floor in the sunroom with a bit of old bench top we didn't need when we renovated the kitchen. Here is Charlotte inspecting my flowers...

love 2 play

Here is a LO I created with rub-ons for the challenge over at Scrapping Out LOUD, to use a rub-on and use it on the photo. I've never tried this before and had to go and buy some rub-ons :) I'll use any excuse to shop for scrapping supplies! I kept it pretty simple and sorry about my photos, they aren't very good because its late and my camera doesnt like the lights or the flash. I picked an orange base becasue the photos were taken in Autumn.Anyway here it is
And I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. I even managed to misspell in my journalling and smuge it a bit... oh well. I'm off to make some more thankyou cards for Charlottes birthday, both my girls are finally asleep! and John is playing with his new toy... digital set top box, now we get more channels free-view or something... because we dont watch enough tv already... whinge whinge thats all I do haha

TPE #18

Here is a Thankyou card I made for my Gran and Papa for the lovely card and gift voucher they sent down for Charlottes first birthday, they are very kind and caring and I love it that they keep in touch with us and come to visit when ever they can, I feel very lucky to have people like that in my life. No decorating the inside, I needed all the room for writing! Which gives me an idea for a 2-fold card... then there would be twice as much room to write, why am I only thinking this up now! Will jot it down for another time :)
I've used the challenge over at The Pink Elephant, such a fun blog to play along with! They have a list of great tutorials, and a tip room! Challenge #18 is a colour theme, pink brown and white. Pop over and see the beautiful work from the DT, I love Robin's graduation card. I gotta get me some of those embossing folders!
Thanks for stopping by and while you are here take a min to enter in my blog candy, I'm posting world wide and drawing the winner at the end of the month! Happy blogging xx
I've used WorldWin Treasures 'white' card stock for the base, bag of blooms for the flowers, rhinestone brads are from scrap and stamp attack, re-cycled some corrugated cardboard from the packaging on one of the girls toys for the pot, buckle from ebay and chipboard letters from heidi swapp centre of attention in pink!

UYS fabric challegne

Here is a card I have made using the challenge over at Use Your Stash!

They are celebrating all month long with challenges and prizes, hop on over and see the fab work from the DT with fabrics!

I used fiskars templates and shapecutters for the scalloped edges and stars.

only 4 months to go!

4 months until what you say? Well in 4 months I will be Mrs Theodore. Ok well 4 months and 2 days but who's counting! Just wanted to post a couple of photos, the first are the candles John's mum and I picked out for the centre pieces for the tables, we're going to put them on large white dishes surrounded with little pinecones. My dress is a champange colours, Charlottes is green and Aimee's will be chocolate brown, but I am still searching for the right one. The candles smell delicious! We ended up with 12 of each, so 36 candles as we're estimating 10 tables of 8, plus the bridal table.
The second photo are the invitations I have designed, sentiment on the front reading 'our love is for today, tomorrow and ever after', and John laughed when I showed him the sample one, but he didn't say take it off and I like it so it's staying! The inside font is Tahoma for our names, and arial for the rest. I am so pleased with how they have turned out!
We have booked our venue, and will be getting married in thier beautiful gardens, then holding reception in an old woolshed that has been renovated I guess you could say, and its just oozing with rustic country charm. I'm planning on booking a celebrant tomorrow, and we're still discussing weather we would like a band. I would like a band and John would like to take a CD player with out favourite CD's.... and he calls me a tightass becasue I buy no-name brand wheat-bix lol
Anyway I'm off to put a few more invitations together, John's parents have gone to QLD for the week to see his brother, and we'll give them the first invitation on Sunday so I have until then to finish the rest. And I'll have to get some more rafia before then anyway.
Dont forget to enter for my blog candy while you're here!!
Thanks for stopping in and Happy blogging xx

welcome precious baby

Here is my take on sketch #18 over at Card Patterns. The DT have some fabulous work and they have a wonderful prize from unity stamp company, and I would love to order there beautiful monthly kit, but I have made a promise to myself that I wont buy anything non-wedding related until after the wedding... so I guess I will have to start with Novembers monthly kit ;) Thay also challenged us to use large stamps, I only have one and its a big swirly flourish one, but everything I tried, I was just not happy with. So I went with my trusty Penny black stamp. I also trimmed some of the scraps with my fiskars shapecutter and ovals template to decorate the inside. I have used: Penny black stamp greetings, coloured with Derwent pencils, WorldWin Treasures antique white card stock, all papers are from my stash, ribbon from craftworks, hand stitched with Guterman sparkly thread, buttons from beutron, rub-ons are from Royal & Langnickel, and chipborad alphabet heidi swapp centre of attention in pink.
While you're here please check out my blog candy. Thanks for stopping by and Happy blogging xx

Beary Box #28

Don't you just love Love LOVE a good sketch? Well over at Beary Box they have a fantastic one to work with! Sketch #28! I have created a birthday card for my little sister who is not so little anymore... turning 22 to be exact lol how the years fly by now! I had so much fun working out which colours I would use for this card, decided to stick with 'happy' for the sentiment, adding birthday would have been too much pink and I am quite happy with how it turned out. Thanks Beary Box for the sketch, and Thank YOU for stopping in to have a look! As always would love to hear what you think, and also just to mention I have some blog candy open until the end of the month, please click HERE to check it out! Happy blogging xxI hacve used: WorldWin Treasures 'natural' base card, other papers from stash, bag of blooms for the flower, fastened with a button from my beutron mixed bag and handy jute string, lettering is heidi swapp centre of attention in pink, I used my fiskars circles template and shapcutter for the scalloped edge, and cuttlebug heart #1 dies for the swirly hearts.

Cute as a Button

Goodmorning :) I'm here to show you a card I made for the rainbow challenge over at Colour Create Challenge. You know how the song goes... red and yellow and pink and green, orange and purple and blue.... you can sing a rainbow too. There are some beautiful bright cards from the DT, I wanted to make a baby card for a friend who is getting very round in the middle :) and they aren't planning on finding out the sex before its born so I wanted to make something baby, not boy or girly.I cut the oval out on the front with my Fiskars oval template and shaprcutter, and I've used the colours from the song to choose my buttons, which came from a 250g bag of mixed pastels from Beutron, and antique white cardstock from WorldWin Treasures, the heart is a rub on from heidi grace that I picked up on Thursday becasue I needed some to complete the challenge over at Scrapping out LOUD. I'm almost done, just have to add some journalling so look out for that later today, after I get some washing hung out... silly housework getting in the way of my scrapping! As aways would love to hear what you think, and I've got some Blog Candy!! to give away this month... Thanks for stopping by and happy blogging :)

My first BLOG CANDY!

Hello everyone, just a quick post today. No time for scrapbooking or card-making even tho I would love to have a go at some of the fab sketches and challenges out there atm but work is a must if I want to buy scrapping supplies... and I do!
I've decided I would like to give away some blog candy for the month of June and I am happy to post world wide as I havent seen many Aussies around. All you need to do to be in the draw is leave me a comment, and for an extra entry I'd love any suggestions on song for our first dance, as John and I will be getting married this October and we have absolutley no idea. We can't agree on anything and I think he has given up.
I'd love it if you could post a link to my candy on your blog, and I'll draw a random winner at the end of the month, and if there are more than 100 entries I'll draw a second winner for a smaller prize.
The contents of my candy: 1 x 250g bag of Beutron Citrus Multi-coloured buttons 1 x American Crafts thickers chit-chat puffy letter stickers 1 x KaiserScrapbook Foam tape 3mm thick, 2 metre roll 1 x Scrapbook Autumn rub-on sentiments 1 x Bag of Blooms (30 pieces) in blue 1 x rhinestone brads, I think 20 to the pack and some assorted tags and paper shapes, patterned or embossed.
Thanks for stopping by and Happy blogging! xx

Easier said than done..

What a beautiful morning! Sun shining, birds tweeting and John gave me $50 for scrapbooking supplies before he headed off to work!! lol
Here is a LO I just finished last night of my Mum. Michelle over at Scrappy Hours has asked to see LO created when remembering someone who has passed, or a sympathy card.
My Mum passed away in Oct 2003 after a long battle with breast cancer. She was diagnosed in March 1997 at only 37 years of age, and beat the disease 3 times, but it kept coming back.
These are some older photos of her, from before I was born, and my 4 year old daughter says she looks like me, and I like that. It makes me sad that she isn't here to see her grand-daughters, she would have loved them sooo much, and I'm getting married in Oct, sad too that she wont be here to share our happiness. But somethings you cant change, no matter how bad you want too.
I feel my breasts everyday, so if there is ever a change I will know them well enough to notice, and I encourage every woman to do the same, dont ever say it wont happen to me.
I want to be here when my Daughters get married and have babies :)
Anyway enough of my blubber, going to jump in the shower and head into town to meet up with an old friend for lunch :) then pop down to the scrapbooking shop and see if I can find some suitable rub-ons for the challenge at Scrapping out LOUD. Also spotlight had a big basket of lace by the meter on special so I'll have to go by there too! Then meeting up with Best MIL-to-be, we're going to look at some candles for table centerpieces for the wedding. Thanks for stopping in and happy blogging xx
The journalling reads: The Road Home.
When I come to the end of the road and the sun has set on me, I want no rites in a gloom-filled room why cry for a soul set free? Miss me a little, but not too long and not with your head bowed low, rememberr the love that we once shared, miss me, but let me go.
For this is a journey we all must take and each must go alone, it's all a part of the Master's plan, a step on the road to home. When you are lonely and sick of heart, go to the friends we know. Bury your sorrows in doing good deeds, miss me, but let me go.
I am unsure who wrote this originally, I found it with a stack of old photos in one of Mums boxes.

Ad Inspired #5

Last card for today. I just found this blog this afternoon, 365 cards. Tammy has an ad to use for inspiration when designing your cards. here's what I came up with:
If you cant see it, the smallest green oval has a wedding couple embossed on it, bit hard to see on the green, much better in RL. I've added some little rhine stones to two oposite corners as I felt there was something missing, and I havent got any sentiments or lettering/chipboard that would match. Hope you like it and thanks for stopping by. Cant tell you where the flourish stamps are from as I've misplaced the packaging... oh and Happy blogging xx
To make this card I used WorldWin Treasures 'antique white', green and black papers from my stash, cuttlebug embossing folders 'wedding', cuttlebug dies 'heart #1' and my Fiskars oval template and shapecutter. Rhinestone from ebay, I thought they were too cheap lol it's becasue they have no adhesive so I struggle with double sided tape to get them stuck on :P

More Candy

Hazel over at 'My crafty outlook' has some wonderful candy to give away, and is posting worldwide to celebrate 40000 hits!!! Pop over and find out what you have to do to be in with a chance, and while you are there, you can see the wonderful creations she has made!closing June 20th

Sweet gift box

Goodmorning everyone :) Here is a sweet gift box I made for Aimee's friend who is having her 5th birthday party this Friday. It was a a challenge trying to fit the sketch from ICS onto the lid, but I managed and I think it turned out quite well. Its is just the right size for some hair clips and maybe a necklace or bracelet. I love the sketches at Inspirational Card Sketches, its always fun to play along, even if I dont get to finish them within the week. I think it might qualify over at CuteCardThursday too as the challenge is a bit o' bling, and I've got the little rhinestone butterflies that are much more sparkly in RL and the glittery rhinestone brad. I have already entered once tho, I'm not sure if you can twice.
Here is the box before I started.
Here is the decorated box :)
All paper from my stash, Value craft ribbon 10mm 'rose' and celebrate 13mm light green, rhinestone brad from scrap and stamp attack, butterflies from ebay. Also used Cuttlebug 'Tag alongs' Die.
There are soooo many great sketches and challenges this week! I wish I had time to play them all, but I best get of the computer and do some housework, because it wont do itself! Thanks for stopping by, and happy blogging! xx

The DT have some fantastic samples to show you, so pop over and check it out if you haven't already!!
I tried to keep the work 'stunning' in my mind as i designed this card, and I was trying to go for a less is more approach, I didn't want to over embellish. As always would love to hear what you think!! I cant wait to see what other's have done with this sketch! What great inspiration!! Thanks for stopping in, and happy blogging!! xx
To make this card I used WorldWin Treasures 'Antique White' cardstock trimmed to 14cm x 28cm and is top fold, both purple papers come from my stash and were trimmed with my Fiskars 'ovals-1' scalloped edge template and shapecutter, embossed image is Cuttlebug 'Wedding', white handmade paper with gold embossing from Spotlight scrapbooking kit, Gold ribbon from Scrap and stamp attack and lace from Spotlight. Rub on is from scrapbook 'Autumn' and hand stitching across the top.
