Rainy Monday...

I've got a few things to share this afternoon, first a thumbprint art card for Day 268 over at 365 Cards. Thats John, Aimee Charlotte and myself on the front, Aimee's idea hehe and I combined it with a sketch from ICS #44.
Next is an ATC for Sophisticats challenge blog, and I'm also entering it Allsorts Challenge blog at as they wanted to see buttons this week. This is the first ATC I've ever had a go at making. Another challenge at 365 cards, Day 269 Pam asked to see knots... I've made three sets of 4 little gift cards for Jewlz shop. Quick and easy as I tried to keep them minimal as there is not much space to decorate, they are about 7.5 by 10.5 cm. And Day 274 - Super Sketchy Sunday was a fun sketch to work with and here's what I came up with: Well thats it for me today. We had an unbelievable 48ml of rain over the weekend, and looking outside now you wouldn't think tomorrow is the first day of summer. Thanks very much for stopping by and I do appreciate any comments if you have time to leave them :) Hope you all have a great start to the week! Happy blogging xx

Last Post... for today anyway

Gotta be quick! It's almost time to start dinner lol and it takes me that long to get organised... I like to have dinner on the table when John walks in the door :)
So I found a great sketch to follow and here it is:
This is M's sketch #4 over at Savitri Wilders blog. I couldn't not play along, and when I showed my Aimee she was keen to sit up and make something too. Here's what I came up with:
And here is Aimee with her creations!
The only thing I did was trim the pattern paper so she could round the edges (like mine) and I put the sticky on the packs of the buttons, the rest she did on her own :) her other card is a cat who likes to wear bows in its hair. Now she has gone out for a bike ride while I cook her some 2 hour noodles hehe.
She says some funny things sometimes.
Ok well thanks for stopping by and please do pop over and see Savitri and Miss M :) you wont be disappointed! Happy blogging xx

I've made a start!

Well I've finally made a start on some Christmas cards!
First one is for the sketch over at Charisma Cardz and they are being sponsered by Daisy May Designs. I flipped the sketch and stamped the santa on stampin' up 'certainly celery' card stock and heat embossed with clear ink and powder, found a red button in the Jar from the op shop and the paper and flowers both come from Kaiser craft. I tried to take a photo from a different angle to show you my distressing and the embossing... it's raised and glossy.
Second card is for Kazans new sketch over at 2S4Y. The DT have some beautiful work to inspire you, and they are being sponsered by JustRite Stamps.
I'm starting to get into the Christmassy mood lol still trying to talk John into a real tree rather than a plastic one, I just like the smell :) Thanks for stopping by and I do hope you all enjoy your day where ever you are xx

(Title here)

I can never think of what to put as my title! Well this arvo I have 3 cards to show you. First one for the fab sketch over at Card Patterns if you want to see it just click on the link, it may even inspire you to make something wonderful! I've combined it with Day 264 - keep it to yourself which means no sentiments! Its a congratulations card... wedding obviously! I love this stamp set from stampin' up and I've heat embossed with clear ink and powder onto certainly celery, little distressing around the edges, some pearls and flowers... love how it turned out!
Next up is an old challenge from 365 Cards Day 73 to include circles scallops and bling! in between the bottons at the top are 4 rhinestones and there is also one little purple bling butterfly beside the six. my scalloped edge isn't very big, I used my fiskars template and shapecutter, and for the circle too! And last and my least favourite (lol can I say that?) is a 30th card for Day 262 which is a colour challenge over at 365 cards. The guest DT Rose did an amazing job with these colours but I really struggled. I guess thats why it's called a challenge! If you haven't heard Pam from 365 is looking for someone to fill a spot on her DT... if you are interested you can find out more HERE!!!

Well thats it from me for now :) hopefully my girls have an early night and I get a few cards done before nip/tuck... lol I like to watch it when John has gone to sleep. I think because it is so un-realistic and I cant relate to anything that happens to those characters, much better than watching things that upset me. Like the news haha I get upset easily, it's a scary world out there... anyway enough dribble thanks so much for stopping by and as always I would love to hear what you think of my cards! xx

All-in-one post

Good afternoon, I have a couple of things to post and I'm going to do them all in one, hope you dont mind :) first up I've got a card for Lauras sketch over at 2Sketches4You
and I also managed to complete the bonus sketch which was set by Cheryl. I also have a card for super sketchy sunday Day 57 back in April over at 365 Cards
I'm not sure why I only have a photo of this card on this angle... and now I can't even find the link for the challenge... I thought it was an older one on 365 cards but I'm all confused as I've been going back looking at all the challenges since they started.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope to be back with more cards on Sunday. I did spend a big chuck of this morning organising my craft space a little... doesn't look like I've done much tho. Hopefully it helps me get thru a few this evening tho :)
I do hope you all enjoy your weekends xx

White space and a whinge lol

So I didn't go to spotlight VIP shopping night which I am extremely disappointed about :(
At 7pm when I was getting ready to leave John asked if I could take Charlotte. I asked if he was joking. Apparently not. Then it started. John thinks I always get to do what I want and leave the kids at home with him... I'd like to know when lol I didn't enrol for photography class on Wednesday nights becasue it started before Charlottes bed time. There isn't much I do want to go to without him and the girls... Anyway I could go on lol but I'm sure no-one wants to hear my whinge so onto the card :)
Here is Pams 'white space' sketch:
and here is what I came up with:
I understand that the deal is the white space on the sketch doesnt have to be white, just blank with no embellishments. If you saw my lase card... yes its that same Dena paper again lol I like to use up what's on my desk before I pull too much more out or I end up with a big big big mess and then kids are pulling it down on the floor and charlotte eats my papers.... one day we will get a bigger house and I'm claiming a room with a door! A whole room! Since I get my own way all the time.....
Well thanks for stopping by I off to check some monday challengs and make a couple of cards before bed, John thinks I'm sooking since I didn't end up going so hopefully he is asleep before I go to bed lol xx

Pink and Green

Good morning, I'm here to show you a card I whipped up this morning using my new stampin' up 'for the bride' set. Loved this set as soon as I saw it in the catalog. I'm entering it over at 365 Cards Day 251 - Dream Duo "When you scrap, what are your two favorite colors to work with? Those are the two that I challenge you to work with, and try to stick to shades of only those two colors."
I only have 4 coloured inks, pink brown green and blue and I thought the Old olive on Certainly celery card would look good and then mounted on the pink patterned Dena paper it all sort of came together. I printed the sentiment on my computer as I wanted something a bit bigger than the one in the set. Bit of distressing around the edges and some pearls and it was done! I did so want to pull out the sewing machine and stitch around the edges but I'm on a time limit today :) lots to do! I feel it came out looking a little christmas-y lol what do you think?
I'm heading off to spotlight VIP shopping night tonight hoping to find lots of bargains ;) maybe even win a new sewing machine if I'm lucky!
Thanks for stopping by, Happy blogging xx

Just a quickie!

Ok just a quick post because there is lots of housework to do and the girls are both napping at the same time which never ever happens lol
I've used Laura's awesome sketch #38 over at 2S4Y and combined it with day 247 over at 365Cards which is ad inspired. Gloria picked a beauty to work with and I tried to stick with the same colours. I'm also entering at Bizzy Bec's Creatilicious Challenges as all these papers (which just might be kiwi kiss and the orange in-colour from stampin' up, chestnut american crafts and that mustard colour I have no idea) were scraps from my cut-offs box and I made the flower with a sizzlit and my big kick so hope that counts :) I inked around the edges with stampin' up basic brown and the pearls come from the warehouse, the last few on the sheet I've been waiting to use them for a while so I can open a new one :)
I printed the sentiment on my computer it reads 'its the little things that make life big'
Thanks for stopping by and if you would like to leave a comment I sure would appreciate it and will return the visit xx Happy blogging :)

Vintage for OCC

I think this will be my last post for today!
I've got a card for the 'Vintage' Theme over at Our Creative Corner. I've inked around the edges with stampin' up basic brown, and with that font and the colours I've used it is about as vintage as I can get lol. It's another card for Jewlz store, I'm taking them into her later today and I do hope she likes it!
Thanks for stopping by, hope you all enjoy your day! Happy blogging xx

Ribbons and Buttons

Back with another card for the current challenge over at SophistiCat Challenges which is Ribbons and Buttons. Julie asked me for some cards for Students sitting exams and finishing school this year for her shop. I have no stamps of stickers of school them so this is one of the cards I came up with. taking it into her today I hope she likes them! I did a few boy ones and a few girl ones too :)
Any suggestions I'd appreciate them!
Thanks for stopping by! and if you like to use ribbons and buttons why not pop over to check out the challenge for yourself at SophistiCats

pin-up for 365 cards

Good evening!
Over at 365 Cards the challenge for Day 240 is to use a stick pin or safety pin with beads and/or charm/s on your card. I've never tried this before but love the extra bit of detail it adds :)

I've been busy lately, but things are starting to fall back into routine so I hope to be making a few more cards this week... so watch this spot :)

Thanks for stopping by, if you want to leave a comment so I know you stopped by, I can come visit you too! xx
