~embellish meets 2S4Y~

Good morning!
No baby news to share yet, we are still waiting!
If nothing happens over the weekend I will be induced bright and early Monday morning, so the wait is almost over!
Today I have a card to share based on Laura's fabulous sketch over at 2Sketches4You blog (the winner this week gets a guest designer spot on the team!!)

and the brand new colour plus squares challenge open until 9th Sep over at Embellish Magazine who are being sponsored by inchie arts.

I thought it would be perfect for a funky 21st birthday card as soon as I saw it pop up in my inbox!

I've also got my DT card for ECP challenges in another post and would love for you to check it out :) and if you haven't already seen, I have a little blog candy open at the moment, find the link just below my blog title.

~ECP Challenge #20~

~~Challenge #20 is a sketch!~~
We are sponsored by the fabulous Sassy Studio Designs for Challenge 19 & 20!!
Pop over to the ECP Challenge blog to link up your fabulous creations and check out what the other designers created following this sketch!!

here is what I came up with!

Once again I used the fab digi dress from Sassy Studios, you can find it in the accessory link in the store, and at only $1 it is a must-have!

I started with a top fold 6x4 kraft base, and then I printed out the dress on white card and ran it thru my big kick with a labels 4 nesty. Then I printed it out on some old old old retired stampin' up paper, trimmed around the dress and glued it on top! I used some blue ribbed ribbon to match the pattern paper, layered some paper flowers from kaisercraft and the leaves are a new punch I ordered from Bizzy Becs online store.

Once again I've got this post scheduled just in case I'm not around. I'm hoping I won't be! We are still waiting on this baby... and we're already a week over the due date! Well I guess we're only getting closer!

Please check out my blog candy while you're here, it's open until the 31st.
Have a fabulous and creative weekend friends! take care xxxx

~my kind of card!~

Good afternoon, still no sign of this baby wanting to come out anytime soon... but I will share a photo of my huge tummy @ 39 weeks with you! I remember thinking at the 6 month mark, I can't possibly get any bigger... and 3 months later I most definately have!!

And I also have a card to share that I just whipped up, combining the ABC challenge over at Raise the Bar (pop to the blog to check out the details and the fab work from the DT!)

and this wonderful CAS sketch #180 from CPS... my kind of sketch! The DT have some fantastic samples to share with you too so pop over and check them out!
I started with a kraft base, then used some scraps of paper for the bird and the strips, labels 4 nesty and whisper white card, button and rhinestones from my stash, and the sentiment is from the best yet stampin' up set which is on the last chance list! I can't wait to see the new catalog!

Can't sit for too long or I get all sore so this is my kind of card atm, quick and easy! And super happy with how it turned out! It's going into a large envelope that I will be posting of to Tracey in a couple of months, I saw a write up on her blog where you can donate blank Christmas cards to be sent to our Aussie and NZ troops abroad, I thought if I can get 2 or 3 done a week then I will have a nice little lot to send out! If you're an Aussie or NZ and this is something that insterests you please pop over to Traceys blog and get in contact with her for all the details!!

Hope you're all having a wonderful start to the week and please check out my blog candy that is open until the end of August, there is a link to the post just below my blog title xx
take care!

~Challenge #19 @ ECP~

Hello friends!

I've scheduled this post just in case I'm not around ;-)

What a fun challenge we have for you over at ECP this fortnight!
The theme is : Something girly!
We are sponsored by the fabulous Sassy Studio Designs for Challenge 19 & 20!!
I've used the fun little Party Dress digi, and what a bargain at only $1!!
You can find it in the 'Sassy Accessories' section in their shop.

Not confident with my own colouring skills so I thought I'd try something different this time (well different for me anyway!)
I printed the dress out first on white card stock and ran it thru my bigkick with a labels 4 nesty.
Then I printed it out again on a sheet of pattern paper and carefully trimmed around the edge of the dress and stuck it down over the image on the white piece.
I popped the white piece up with some foam dots on a top-fold 6x4 kraft base, added the flowers and rhinestones, and a sentiment.

I'm very pleased with how it turned out!
So pleased I tried it out with a few different colours!

Thanks for stopping by, and if you haven't come from the ECP Challenge blog, please pop over and check out the stunning work from my fellow DT members... you are sure to be inspired!
Link up your girly creations at ECP challenge blog before Thursday 26th August to be in the draw for a fabulous prize from Sassy Studio Designs!

~crafty creations meets ColourQ~

Hello again :)
I have no school run today since Aimee is having a play date at a friends, and Charlotte is still napping. John will be home late so I decided I could put the housework off a little longer and make a card :)
This one is a Z-fold card... something I have never tried before! I got the directions from the link at Crafty Creations Challenge #80 and the theme is winged things. They are being sponsored by  Robyn's Fetish Digital Stamps, and the current challenge is open until Wednesday!

I found my colour inspiration from the fabulous Colour Q Challenge #45, link your colour creations up by Sunday the 15th August!
Here is what I came up with!

Loving these lable 4 nestys, all the cardstock and green paper is stampin up, as is the sentiment and the butterfly punch. Buttons and rhinestones are from my DT pack for the Stamp Spot online store. I'm really pleased with how this turned out, and will add it to the collection for Jewlz store, she asked me for some bright coloured birthday cards and this fits the description!

Thanks for stopping by, and please pop back tomorrow to see my DT card for ECP Challenges, we have a fab new sponsor and an easy peasy challenge!! Can't wait to share my card with you!!
Take care xx

~Stamp Spot DT creations~

Well I am a little behind updating my blog... no I haven't had my baby yet... wish that was why tho!

Over at The Stamp Spot Blog, this is my share for DT Wednesday, have you seen these amazing 4inch flowers? I pushed a 2-layer green tara flower thru the middle, teamed it up with some lovely pink paislee paper , fiskars border punch, ribbon and my favourite embellishment rhinestones! This split pea colour is my favourite.

And Marcia shared this Christmas card for Fabulous Friday! But it wouldn't be fabulous without that stunning prima blossom, gorgeous ribbon or perfect pink paislee paper! Loving this paper pad! If you haven't already, click on the link to check it out at the store (this pad is a must have!)
Marcia's prices are fantastic and quick postage too! Very handy now that my LSS shops have sadly all shut-down :(
Also used some rhinestones, oval nestys and a little corner rounder punch. Gives it a nice finish, what to do you think?

Thanks for stopping in today, I hope you're all having a fabulous and creative week!

We are finally starting our Renos! John is picking up some hardwood we ordered from the transport station after work, we will hopefully get the support posts concreted in this weekend and make a start on the frame before baby comes!! I'm going to take some before and after (and along the way) photos so I'll keep you all up-dated... then I'll have to start thinking about storage solutions for my new craft room!! But realistically that is still a few months away...

OK enough chatter :)
Please pop back and see my DT work for ECP challenge blog tomorrow, I've already scheduled it just in case I'm not around!
Take care xx

~something altered~

Good morning! Over at The Stamp Spot blog, Marcia is featuring an altered oval shaped paper mache box I picked up for only $2!
Here is the before photo:

And here is how is looks after I took to it with some lovely Paper Doll Collection paper from Crate Paper, a stunning 4" flower in white, and topped it with a white/pink two layer flower, then added some kaisercraft organza ribbon, and kaisrercraft rhinestones. I had some kindy glitz in my stash that I used to bling up the petals a little.

and a close up of those stunning 4" flowers.

Aimee asked me what she should put in it... I said I was going to keep it to store my paper roses in... and without a second thought she said ok I'll share it with you Mum. How kind of her lol.

Hope you're all having a fabulous weekend! I've got my fingers crossed the baby comes soon, only 10 days until due date, but any day now would be fine by me! Take care xx

~um 2 cards for a few challenges~

I've got 2 Birthday cards to share today, they are both based on the sketch over at Stampin' 411 sketch challenge #162.I've used my new curved rectangle nestys for both cards, and adore those little paper roses that I used on the first.

I found my colour inspiration for the first one over at Create with Connie and Mary.

and I found my colour inspiration for the second one at Colour Q with Challenge #44.

I wanted to try this sketch with the stampin' up bird punch and thought these colours would work nicely. Also entering it at Creatalicious for the 3D challenge, I've popped him up on some foam dots and this is about as 3D as I can get lol so I hope it counts!
Ok that's it for me today :) Thanks for stopping by!

Please check out my blog candy while you're here too!
No need to be a follower just link up your blog on the candy post.

~happiness always~

Good afternoon, I have two cards to share today that I made last night after a quick tidy up of my scrap space :) no better motivation than cleaning up!

The first is another card for the colour plus birds challenge over at Embellish magazine. Loving this colour combo! They are sponsored by Chris Franco who is an Independent Demonstrator with The Angel Company™ (TAC). check out the deets at the embellish blog! The deadline is Thursday 12th for this challenge :)

My second card is based on the awesome sketch over at ICS it's sketch #76 and they are being sponsored my paper romance. ICS post a new sketch every Tuesday!
I've also got buttons (to hide my un-even embossing - they weren't part of the sketch) so entering it over at EBTKS too! They are being sponsored by Simon says and the DT have some great samples to share with you! Button challenge closes on the 8th so you still have time!

Well that's it for me for today... it's too overcast for any more photos even if I do happen to squeeze in some more crafty time. I've been heaps motivated for housework these last few days... hopefully that's a sign this baby is coming soon! I'm ready :)

Oh and don't forget to check out my candy while your here, you can find the link below my blog title.
Thanks so much for stopping by, hope you all enjoy your week! xx
