Easter Holidays

Good afternoon!
I hope you are all having a lovely start to the week. After we got home from playgroup this morning, Aimee and I decided we would use Charlottes nap time to make some Easter cards. Aimee is on holidays for the next two weeks so I can see lots of card making and not-so-much housework getting done ;)
Aimees card 'forgot' to follow any sketches and she accidently didn't use the right colours for the challenge. It's a circus chick on a trapeze. I love it!
I've followed the simple sketch from CPS and the fab colour (and stitching) challenge from Embellish. The theme this week over at Paper popsicles is Ribbon!
Cardstock is Stampin' up, ribbons from my stash, lettering from adornit, and the chick is spring blessing from the treehouse. I'll pop a link for that in my sidebar too. Lots of great digi stamps/images available over there!
Thanks for stopping by, we hope you enjoyed our cards!

Happy Easter Card

Good morning! So I just whipped up this card for John's parents since we're heading over to have a delicious roast with them this evening, and I found my inspiration in
Wplus9 Colour Cue Challenge, White, Teal, Light Yellow, Bright pink!
And 2Sketches4You, Lauras Sketch #48!
Here is my card:
Paper is all Stampin' up, eyelets are american crafts, the chick is a digital download from Tree house stamps and comes in the spring blessings set, the teal ribbon comes in an amazing (and bargain priced) Card Kit from Mac Mae Card Kits and Pam has a HUGE SALE GOING ON NOW!! Pop over and check it out!
Let me show you just some of the yummy that comes in the 'warm with a touch on teal' kit...
I'll be hoarding these for ages lol so don't expect to see them on any cards soon hehe...
My card also works for Aimees Challenge which is an Easter theme!
Well thanks for stopping by and I do hope you are all looking forward to a lovely weekend :) Happy blogging xx

It's been a long week...

Good evening, it feels like it's been such a long week already and it's only Thursday! I'm feeling very emotional lately... all those pregnancy hormones swimming around in my body.
First up I've got a card to show you for the Challenge this month at Creatalicious, using a favourite drink as inspiration. I love making coffee at work, there is an art to it which I'm still trying to perfect!
Second I've got a card with polka dots and ribbon for the challenge over at Totally Stampalicious which I only found this week. If you love to enter blog candy pop over and check out what they are giving away!
Third is a Pastel coloured card for the current challenge over at Colour Create. It's a birthday card for Julie's daughter coming up in April :)
I've got my Dads birthday coming up soon too, so keep an eye out for my attempt at a male card hehe and I'm currently working on a sweet little Easter card for John's parents. We're heading to their place for tea tomorrow night, Johns Mum is the best cook and I'm sure he didn't marry me for mine lol
Have a great night and thanks for stopping by xx

Easter Cards

Hi!
Just a quick post to show you the cards Aimee and I made for her challenge blog, as she decided to set an easter theme for this fortnight.
We've both used a super cute Digi Image from Paper Popsicles and would like to enter our cards for their easter theme too! They have a great prize at the end of the month and the more times you enter the more chances you have at winning!
We also used some ticket stubs from Bizzy Becs Digi store (link in my sidebar) Papers are all Stampin' up, ribbons and rhinestones from our stash... and yes i did say our's lol Aimee often likes to start with a fresh 12x12 pattern paper now, not as happy to search thru my scraps and off cuts anymore... She likes the tiny swirls on this particular piece :)
I've also used my fiskars border punch and Derwent pencils.
If you're making a card for easter (or if you have a little crafter who is making something for easter) why not pop over and link it up with Aimee's Challenge, she loves to see what everyone else is creating! Especially other children!!
Thanks for stopping by, hope to be back with some more cards tomorrow!
Take care xx

Ok last post and then I have to finish f the dishes and head off to work :) I'm looking forward to a nice busy Saturday and making lots of yummy latte's for my customers!
Her is a card which combines a few challenges...

Day 12 at 365 Cards is a circle frenzy challenge!
I thought I might have found the sketch on a challenge blog somewhere but now I can't find it!
and here is my card...
All paper is from stampin' up and the ticket stub is from Bizzy Becs Digi store there is a link in my sidebar, she has a great variety to choose from, I've just printed out some vintage tags so expect to see some over the next week. well expect to see lots! She also has pattern papers and the sweetest images!

It's a bit hard to see where the card starts and the wall tiles in my bathroom finish! lol I'll have to remember to pop a piece of coloured card behind it when I use sahara sand for the card base.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you all enjoy your weekend! Happy blogging and thanks for all the lovely comments, it really makes my day! xx

Day 1 and 4 for 365 Cards

Going back to Days 1 and 4, these two cards are inspired by some fabulous challenges from the 365 Cards Challenge blog! I am going to try and keep up with all the challenges this year. I've already got a few to catch up on but I have plenty I need to make this week so I'll challenge myself to be caught up by next weekend!
Day 1 is a colour challenge
Day 4 is a 'white space' challenge, if you haven't seen one before it's sorta like a sketch but you limited to the 'space' you can embellish. Pop over and check it out!

Day 10 is Wacky colour Wednesday! Orange Purple and Blue!

Also just a reminder that if you want to enter for the Guest DT spot for April over at Sketches! by tamara the submissions close on Monday the 22nd. It's an easy recipe so pop over there and have a look too!
Thanks for stopping by and happy blogging xx

Embellish with a patch of Denim

So much to post, so little time!
I'll start with a card for the colour/ fabric challenge over at Embellish Magazine which is being sponsored by Whimsie Doodles.
Here I've used the colours required (although I feel my green is a bit off) and cut up some of John's old jeans that he is never going to fit back into... I thought blue denim would work perfectly for the colour challenge!
All the paper is Stampin' up, lettering is from Lil' Davis, flowers and rhinestone brad from my LSS, also used my sewing machine and oval nesties.
Quite satisfied with how this card came out, and love the stitching detail too. The DT over at embellish have some wonderful samples to show you, amazing inspiration so please pop over and have a look!
Also just a reminder that if you want to enter for the Guest DT spot for April over at Sketches! by tamara the submissions close on Monday the 22nd. It's an easy recipe so pop over there and have a look too! Maybe you would like to combine the recipe with one of Tamara's awesome sketches, or even the colour challenge from embellish?
Thanks for stopping by and Happy blogging xx

2 cards 2 challenges

Good afternoon! I've got 2 cards to show you today for 2 different challenges. No combining...
First up is super sketchy sunday for Day 7 over at 365 Cards!

The images and senti are stampin' up 'for the bride' inked with old olive, stamped on sahara sand, the pattern paper is also stampin' up, rhinestones and flowers from my stash, and stitching is lemon cotton.

And I made a card based on Lauras lovely sketch #47 from 2Sketches4You.
All paper and the ribbon is from stampin' up, flowers are kaisercraft, lettering from adornit (available online from the stamp spot, link in my sidebar), ribbon and rhinestones from my stash. Also used fiskars border punch, swiss dots embossing folder and scalloped circles nesties.
Well thats it from me for now, hopefully I can get a couple more cards done while Charlotte has her nap this afternoon. Aimee and I are baking muffins when she gets home from school. I've got some brown bananas that need to be used... so banana and white choc chip sounds yummo to me :) and the oven warms the kitchen too which is nice now that the evenings have started to get a little chilly!

Good morning, we're having a lovely Wednesday morning down here, after a rather chilly start the sun has come out and it's turning into a lovely day. Here is the card I made: I used cuttlebug swiss dots embossing folder, kaisercraft fozz felt and I trimmed some circles out of vellum to make some flowery looking things. Celebrate!

Good evening, I've got two cards to show you, the first is for Aimee's Challenge Blog. This fortnight she asked to see projects inspired by 'things with wings'. There are 2 prizes, one especially for any children joining in with the challenge (they are great helpers when it comes to using up Mum's scraps!)

I've used my Quikcutz bird Die, some pattern paper from my cosmo cricket earth love mini deck, stampin' up cardstock and ribbons, flowers from kaisercraft and lettering from adornit. Also used my circle nesties.

I've also got a card following the fab sketch over at Mojo Monday, which I rotated on it's side.
I'm combining it with the 'lucky green' theme at Cute Card Thursday and also 'celebrations' over at Creative Card Crew.

I've used Stampin' up card stock and pattern paper, the stamp is from lexicon of love and inked with old olive, American crafts ribbon held on with a paperclip and American crafts buttons with jute string from my stash, also used my circle nesties and fiskars border punch.

Thanks for stopping by! Happy blogging xx

Sketches! Challenge #109

Good evening! After the excitment of how awesome I thought my card turned out this morning, I didn't publish my post for this weeks challenge over at Sketches! by tamara. This LO is sketch was super fun to work with once I picked out the right photos. John says it's just lovely. I said thanks even tho he sounded a little sarcastic. Anyway I am really happy with how it turned out, and so glad I've finally got these photos in the album! Satisfaction :)
Thats John in the black shirt, his brother Damien in the green, with Michael and Lorraine (Mum and Dad) in the top photo. Charlotte and myself on the bottom left, and Aimee is also in the other group photo. Want some alpha stickers? I ran out of the letters I needed when making my title, if you can guess which letter I replaced (with another letter all chopped up) AND you're the first person with the correct guess in a comment I'll send you two new packs of lettering stickers! Your choice of colours! If you use the sketch remember to link it up at the sketches blog so we can leave you some love, and if your interested in being a Guest DT pop over and check out the details! Thanks for stopping by, I hope you're all enjoying your week, tomorrow is Thursday... one day closer to the weekend! And Aimee will have a new challenge too over at her challenge blog. Hope you can stop by and have a look at her cards :) Happy blogging xx

Wonderful You

Well I have just finished this card and although it isn't much like what I had pictured in my head I have a great feeling of satisfaction when looking at how it turned out :)
I've used Kazans fantastic sketch over at 2S4Y with a lovely prize being sponsored by DeNami Designs.
I'm also entering it at the Borders and Colours Challenge over at Embellish Magazine who are being sponsored by Verve Stamps.
I found a link to embellish at This Blog belonging to the super-talented Bree!
And I'm also entering it for Day 2 over at 365 Cards which is use a circle silver and pearls. I'm going to try and keep up this year and complete all 365 of Pam's wonderful challenges!
I've used all stampin' up papers, martha stewart butterfly punch, nestie circles and scalloped circles, fiskars boarder punch, old olive ink and clear lettering stamps from Bella!, the button from beutron, paper flower is kaisercraft, jute string, charms and pearls from my stash. Also pulled out my sewing machine for this one! already threaded with pink which was very handy indeed! oh and those little adornit mini alpha stickers, available from the stamp spot (link in my side bar)
I would love to know what you think! Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you do enjoy your day! xx
