small wonder

Good afternoon
I have a card to show you that combines some challenges!
So many great challenges and so little time lol
I thought these ones all worked well together for a new baby card :)
I've used the sketch from Raise the Bar
Colour inspiration from Cupcake inspiration challenge 61
and the button theme for challenge 31 at Easy Craft Projects
also looking for buttons are Pixie Dust studio challenge 24!
Cute Card Thursday challenge 114 say no designer papers!

All papers, the sentiment and bird punch comes from Stampin' up, also used cuttlebug swiss dots folder, fiskars threading water border punch and the buttons and cotton twine are from my stash.

Can you believe this card came together in under half an hour lol thats reasonably quick for me, I think having the colour choice and sketch out in front made it alot easier! Thanks to the DT's on all the challenge blogs for the fantastic inspiration too!

While you're here please pop your name down for my little blog candy draw... link in my sidebar.
Thanks for stopping by and I would love to hear your comments xx

Fabulous Friday - Ribbon Flowers!

Good morning, if you pop over to The Stamp Spot blog today you will see Marcia is featuring a card I made using her wonderful products, and some lovely ribbon she sent me which was just perfect for turning into a ribbon flower. I noticed the gather in the ribbon is from stitching down each side, so I cut the ribbon about the same width as my card (roughly 4inches) and pulled one side of the stitching tight to bunch it up like a flower and then stuck in place and covered the hole with a button.

Check it out on my card below!

I love this My Minds Eye paper so thick and lovely, and double sided too! Rhinestones are one of my favourite products to have on hand, and my Border Punch was definitely a great buy too! I use it all the time :)

Thanks for stopping by today and if you have time please check out the little blog candy I have up for offer! I have some of this same ribbon, rhinestones and lettering in there. Oh and if you try out this style of ribbon flower for yourself please let me know on the Stamp Spot Blog, I'd love to come see xx

Happy Birthday

Good evening, I've just popped on show you a card I have created following Kazan's lovely sketch 53 over at 2S4Y and I combined it with the Cupcake inspiration challenge 60.

I tipped Kazan's sketch to the left, the papers are mostly stampin' up, rhinestones and flowers are from kaisercraft and the lovely felt brad is a pink paislee fetching brad... came in a Mac Mae card kit (along with that lush teal ribbon) that I ordered a while ago and have been hoarding most of the contents. I've also used a cuttlebug swiss dots embossing folder, Martha Stewart butterfly punch and fiskars lace border punch.

I'm surprised with how this card turned out as I really wasn't confident with these colours, but I guess that's why its called a challenge!
Do pop past the 2S4Y challenge blog and see the amzing sponsors they have lined up this week!!
There are some fabulous prizes to be won!!
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed my card :)
take care xx

Hi!
here is a card I created last night following the cleanandsimplestamping blog FTL91.

Thanks for stoppin by and would love to hear what you think. And if you have time please pop your name down for my little blog candy while you're here xx

{2 for embellish}

Good morning! well I seem to be having some issues here with blogger, my posting pages are not loading properly and I can't add pictures or anything. Hopefully be back later to show you what I created for the Embellish colour challenge with butterflies xx

Ok please bear with me, I went into settings and found an option to select post editor and clicked on updated editor... so here we go :)

I've made two cards for the Embellish colour challenge with butterflies. Here are the inspiration photos:

and here is what I came up with!

the first card uses certainly celery ribbon from stampin' up and some scraps of beautiful MME paper that came from The Stamp Spot punched out with stampin' up butterfly punch, black ribbons from my stash and the sentiment stamp is Anita's. The second card uses old olive ink and a jumbo roller from stamping up, Martha Stewart butterfly punch and some self adhesive rhinestones in split pea also available at The Stamp Spot.
They both use whisper white and kraft cardstock from Stampin' up. I wanted to try out the colour combo with two different greens.
Embellish have a fab sponsor for this challenge too, pop over and check it out! nd see the wonderful cards from the DT while you are there!

Thanks for stopping by and as always I would love to hear what you think of my cards :) Aimee also made a card for this challenge :) I'll pop it in another post for you to check out! Have a lovely week! xx

MAWTT and the sweetest thing...

Hello friends! I have two cards to show you that I've just finished off. It's way too late to take photos so I'll load them on in the morning. The first one follows Karen's sweet sketch, you can see her sketch and her wonderful card (and links to the beautiful creations from her design team) on her blog The Sweetest Thing..., pop over and check it out! You will be inspired!
I'm also combining it with the cardstock theme this week over at Paper Popsicles, everyone uses it and they have a great monthly prize for entering any of their weekly challenges. Do pop over and check out the fantastic freebie they have this week!
This was not my first attempt... I can't even say it was my second! lol I played around with the colours alot, originally I started with a purple base but was stuck, so I worked my way backwards from the bird, then sentiment, then circle then base and finally the buttons. I would love to hear what you think!
Now that it's finished, I wish I had embossed the big white piece with my swiss dots folder... oh well... next time :) everything on this card is pretty much stampin' up, Kraft, Whisper white and bashful blue cardstock were used, and I am loving this bird punch and the sentiments from the whimsical wishes set! buttons from my stash and I even pulled out my sewing machine for this one :)
My Second card follows Clare's sketch over at Moving along with the times, it is challenge number 46! This week they are sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps, please pop over and check out the sketch for yourself, when I first saw it I really wasn't sure what to do... but I picked some colours and happy with the outcome! I'm also entering it over at Die Cut Dreams Challenges who want to see you "lace it up!" and Vikki from Posh Pins & Charms is sponsoring the challenge this week! pop over and check it out!!

I was late...

I sat down and made a few cards last night, 7 or 8 to be exact! You know when the mood just hits and you're on a roll? I must admit was very tired by the end and only went to bed when I couldn't find where I'd put my grey lead and double sided tape... found them in the mess just now :)
Anyway I saw this fab sketch:
over at Moving along with the times but just saw that the entries have closed! Thought I could show you anyway because I was really happy with how it turned out :)
I usually struggle with these kind of sketches because I'm not into coulouring an image like the ones on the fabulous cards from the design team... but I managed with a sentiment stamp from stampin' up lexicon of love. Great set, and I'm glad I bought it! The flowers and rhinestones are kaisercraft, I used my cuttlebug kids number die set, perfect for birthday number cards. Even got my machine out for a bit of stitching!
And the vanilla/chocolate and pink colour combo is one I feel safe with :)
Well I think thats it for me this evening... time for a quick clean-up after last night then ready for bed. I work tomorrow and Saturday too this week! So probably not much time for crafting... Will see what I can squeeze in ;)
And please pop back on Sunday to put your name in the draw for a yummy little give-away I have planned!

Sketch 66 at ICS :)

Good evening friends :) Thanks for stopping by!
After I saw this sketch:
over at ICS I had a few different ideas running thru my mind.
I decided on a vanilla, pink and green colour combo, and used some of my yummy new Prima fairytale roses (you can find them at The Stamp Spot online store... there is a link in my sidebar). The sentiment comes from stampin' up whimsical wishes set, and stamped in old olive. Love these adhesive rhinestones, available from The Stamp Spot online store (link in my sidebar.)
The design team have some lovely creations to inspire you! please pop over and check them out!
Please pop back on Sunday to put your name in the draw for a little give-away I have lined up ;) it's going to be super yummy!

Yummy Circle sketch!

I found another fabulous sketch this week!
This one comes from Truly Scrumptious so I pulled out my circle nesties to see what I could do!
here it is:

and here is what I came up with!

I've used a kraft base, the sentiment is stampin' up, as is the butterfly punch and the (retired) pattern paper. I added some adhesive rhinestones and some buttons from my stash and it was done! Not sure if I will come back to this colour combo again, didn't turn out like I had it pictured it in my head.
Pop over and check out the fab cards from the DT, maybe you will be inspired to try out this sketch yourself! They have a wonderful sponsor this week too, Sandra Dry Digi Stamps!
Thanks for stopping by, and please pop back on Sunday to check out my little give away I have lined up!

LOVE a good sketch :)

Hello there dear friends!!
Ohhh I do so love a good sketch... and over at 2S4Y Kazan's is nothing short of inspiring this week! I (finally) saw it on Tuesday and couldn't wait to play along!! I must say I think Kazan's card is absolutely stunning and the cards from the design team will have you drooling! Do pop over and have a look! They have a fab sponsor this week too!
here is the fabulous sketch:
and here is my take:
If you like the products I've used please pop back on Sunday as I've got a little blog candy lined up :) Thanks for stopping by and I hope you're all looking forward to a wonderful and creative weekend!! xx

~So Much~

I'm playing along with The mothers day edition of Say it with a song, mine is not really a monther's day song, but as my Mum passed away in 2003 this is a song that makes me think of her...
and I play it often when I'm alone in my car lol I like to turn it up loud and sing along. I think singing is good for the soul weather you are any good or not... I'd say I'm closer to the 'not' side tho... hehe
Anyway It's a newton faulkner song on his album rebuilt my humans and I found the lyrics pre-typed out here. I love him and his guitar, My Mum used to play acoustic too, one day (when I have more spare time) I'll learn how again and teach my Aimee too :)
~So Much Lyrics~
I wish you could see me,I'm flying, still don't know how
I owe you, so much I guess you knew that
I know that, you would be, proud of me
I hope you are, I owe you so much,I hope you knew that
There's so much of you, in everything I do
Just wish that you were still around
I'm fallin through, just could do so much more if you were still around..Were still around.
I'm still here, still fighting, still crazy, still trying
I owe you so much I hope you knew that
There's so much of you in everything I do, just wish that you were still around,
But i'm falling through just could do so much more if you were still around
It's one thing time will not erase, My life would not have been the same
I miss you, I could use a friend To run some things by now and then
There's so much of you in everything I do
There's so much of you in everything I do,
just wish that you were still around..We're still around I wish you, could see me,
I'm flying ..There's so much of you, in everything I do
Just wish that you were still around
I'm fallin through, just could do, so much if you were still around..
It's one thing time will not erase
My life would not have been the same.

Stickers!

Good morning, I've got a card here to show you I made for Aimee's Challenge #7 which is to use stickers. I do have quite alot of them but besides the lettering ones I rarely use them. Here I've used some dimensional flower stickers my sister sent me for Christmas...

I'm also linking it up for ~the Wings and Flowers Challenge~ over at Creatalicious! ... and Bec and Cheryl are looking for a new DT member... if this is something that interests you pop over to the Challenge blog and find out the deets! I think it only has 5 or so days left so be quick!!

I'll show you my 5 year old Aimee's card too, she has used some lil' Davis lettering stickers, Dora the explorer, dragonflies, flowers and a cat. Her Grandma likes cats and she thought this one looks a bit like Grandma's cat Tilly :) Aimee also pulled the button with ribbon off an old card I had put in the rubbish box when we had a huge clean up on Saturday... she kept alot of things that I was just going to chuck. She's such a good little re-cycler :)
Well that's it for me, Thanks for stopping by and if your using stickers on your cards in the next week or two, why not pop by Aimee's Challenge Blog and link up your projects, I'm sure Aimee would love to see them!

~Jugs DT Call~

Hi crafty friends, I've just spotted another current DT Call over at Just Us Girls, click on the link to find out the deets if your interested in applying, the call is open until Wednesday the 12th. Good luck xx

2 Cards for 4 Challenges

Good evening, I have 2 cards to show you tonight. The first one is based on Laura's sketch # 51 over at 2S4Y and the colours are from Embellish Colour and dimension challenge, I've popped the birds and the wings and the teal strip up on foam tape. I went all out and bought the more expensive brand this time, as the last roll I got almost wrecked my sharp scissors, I had to get John to clean the sticky off with industrial something-or-other cleaner he has in the shed. When I first saw this colour challenge pop up in my emails I thought I might sit this one out but after I saw the beautiful work from the DT I thought maybe I could give it a go :)
The sentiment is stampin' up, as is the bird punch and most of the paper, birds I just punched out of scraps. The flowers are from kaisercraft, you can get a few different colours over at The Stamp Spot.
My second card followed the CPS Sketch #165, and the colour inspiration I found over at Colour Create Challenge Blog who have a current DT call. I've used the same teal and vanilla cardstock since I still had it out on the desk, (I couldn't find any khaki in my stash so I used kraft instead) the stamp and sentiment come from stampin' up, I embossed the teal panel with cuttlebug swiss dots folder, and trimmed with one of my Fiskars Border punch... it's the same punch as on my bird card :) and the buttons and ribbon are just from my stash.
Well thats it for me tonight, time for some shut-eye... I'm excited because my little sister will be here tomorrow! She moved to Queensland in Feb last year and its soooo far away and I miss her heaps! It will be good to catch up with her and I might even talk her into making some cards with Aimee and me while she is down. Aimee has been asking her to make cards for her Challenge Blog, but we have yet to see what she can do with basic office supplies ;) maybe I'll make her a little kit to take back home lol.
Well thanks everyone for stopping by and I'd love to hear what you think of my cards, especially the bird one, I'm glad I stepped outside my comfort zone with the colours and gave Laura's sketch a try!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend xx

~Colourful DT Call~

Colour Create Challenge Blog have a current DT call out, if you're interested click on the link to be taken to the post on their find out the deets, applications close May 19th.

Well I couldn't help myself, as the challenge ends friday 7th... (for me thats today) I thought I could whip something up. 15 mins later and here is what I came up with... Also I'm entering it (again) at Paper Popsicles for the current theme of... Buttons! lol I love buttons! The talented ladies on the DT over there will be sick of me soon!
