~another Chistmas in July~

This is my 4th post today! Aimee and Charlotte wanted to sit up at the table this morning so we crafted together, now they are watching some cartoons :)

I started with Embellish Magazines colour featuring birds challenge sponsored by Christine Franco, an Independent Demonstrator with The Angel Company™ (TAC).
and teamed it up with the Friday sketch from Day 152 at 365 Cards... loose interpretation I know... but I was dying to try out my new curved rectangle nesties I got in the mail yesterday. It's super sketchy week over at 365 cards so if you love a cketch pop over and check them out! Create4fun Challenge blog want to see flowers on your project,  Little Red Wagon challenge #39 and Stamp Something Challenge blog both have a Christmas in July theme so I'm entering over there too! I don't tend to use the tradtional red white and green, and over here our Chritsmas is in the middle of summer so snow flakes and snowmen just don't feel right. Anyway here is my card :)

I love love love this pink paislee 6x6 paper pad! And these paper flowers were just the right touch and just the right colour :) The bird punch and sentiment are both stampin' up and the rhinestones are kaisercraft.

Ok that's it for me for today! Maybe I'll be back tomorrow with a little something else to share :)
Thanks for stopping by and I appreciate all your sweet comments xx

~congratulations~

Good morning, Just here to share another card for the Choclate brown theme we have this fortnight over at ECP challenge blog, and I've combined it with the Sketch #177 from CPS.

The Stamps are from Stampin' up, as is the butterfly punch. Fiskars boarder punch and then a button twine and some charms from my stash. Added some kaisercraft rhinestones for a bit of bling below the sentiment, this card came together nice and quick!

Thanks for stopping by, I have my DT card for ECP challenges today in another post if you have time to check that one out :) and some candy open too, you can find the link below my blog title if you would like to get your name in the draw!

Thanks so much for stopping by and I appreciate any comments you want to leave :)
Have a great weekend! xx

Challenge #18 @ ECP!

Good morning! I have to share with you my card for the new challenge this fortnight over at ECP challenges blog!
Did you see the inspiration photo for last fortnights challenge? There were so many fabulous entries!

For Challenge #18 Lisa set the theme of Chocolate brown. How does this inspire you?

Here is the card I made...
For my card, I started with a kraft base measuring 6x4 and rounded the edges. Then I trimmed a slightly smaller piece of kaisercraft brown pattern paper from the prairie lane collection and rounded the edges also. I added a heart shaped doily, a strip of cute little brown Bambi's on American crafts pattern paper and then layered some kaisercraft flowers and secured them with a rhinestone brad and gave them a light spray with gold glimmer mist. I also added silver rhinestones to 2 of the corners, and my sentiment is spelt out in carolee's creations lettering in milk chocolate.

We would love to see your creations too! If you link them up over at the ECP challenge blog you will be in the draw for a $10 gift certificate from our fabulous sponsor for Challenge #17 and #18 Digi Doodle Shop! If you haven't already, pop over and check out the images in the vintage section!
Thanks for stopping by, I can't wait to see your fabulous creations for this challenge!

~Happy Birthday~

Good morning! I have two new cards to share with you today!
The first card I made following Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch #79

I received labels 4 nesties in the mail today and could not wait to try them out! I stamped my sentiment on a smaller one, then used my swiss dots cuttlebug folder on the next size up and popped them both up on foam dots. The leaves are also a new punch I got today from Bizzy Becs online store, she has heaps available to pre-order! The papers are all stampin' up, the flowers and rhinestones are kaisercraft, and the pearl brad is a new item over at Bizzy Becs, great price too! My card is a top fold 4x6.

My second card is based on Get Sketchy's Sketch#49 who are being sponsored by Momenta and I've combinded it with Colour Create's Challenge #50 and Victoria has some lovely stampin' up goodies for the winner of this challenge.

Another top fold 4x6 (I would have made a wide top fold but this was my last base in this orange-y colour) I found some scraps of paper and trimmed them to fit in the bottom panel, ribbon comes from my stash, these fun felt flowers are from stampin' up. Also used my fiskars lace border punch on some very vanilla paper, just to make the ribbon stand out a little more. Not colours I would usually try and put together, but very pleased with the result and glad I stepped out of my comfort zone for this one :)

Thanks for stopping by, I hope your all looking forward to a wonderful and creative weekend! Take care xx

~just love~

Good afternoon crafty friends! I hope you are all well.

Still 3 weeks until baby is due, but I have started telling myself it could be any day now! Got my hospital bag packed, baby 'stuff' all washed and set up... only things left to do are install the car seat (why I keep putting this off I don't know...) and pack a bag for the girls to take to the grandparents in case we need to make the trip to the hospital in the night.

I have to show you a card I made based on Laura's lovely sketch #57

and found my colour inspiration over at EtsyInspired challenge #98. I love this little purse from EmenGees Designs.

Also entering it at Raise the Bar #28 for the distressed, torn, ripped or broken challenge
and The Shabby Tea Room, week #20 which is: 1 ribbon, 2 buttons and 3 punches or dies.

After all that, here is my card!

Thanks for stopping by, and if you haven't already please check out my little blog candy, you can find the link to the post just below my blog title :)

~a little bit christmas~

Happy hellos my crafty friends :)
Thanks for stopping by!
I've got 3 cards to share today, the first one combines the FTL#100 from clean&simple and the christmas in July theme over at The Cuttlebug Spot (which had already closed... woops!)

The second combines Kazans sketch #57 from the fabulous 2S4Y blog, and Day #144 ~bestseller from 365 cards!

and this last one is a loosley based on Kazans same sketch. I now have 4 Christmas cards done... might try and do one a week and that way I'm not going to rush at Christmas :) has anyone else started making Christmas cards yet?

Thanks for stopping by, off to continue with the housework... I'm itching to get my new sewing machine out of the box!

Fab Friday ~congratulations~

Good morning!

What a busy week it has been in our house with sick Dad and Mum not getting enough sleep...

I was spoilt yesterday, John let me buy a new sewing machine as an early birthday gift. I said I wouldn't open the box until after I'd caught up on the housework because I really haven't managed to get much done this week.
So once I'm done posting my congratulations card for The Stamp Spot blog, I will make a list if chores so I don't walk around in circles like I usually do when I'm over tired.

Loving this Pink Paislee 365 degrees paper pad, I also added some May Arts ribbon, a prima innocence blossom and a couple of rhinestones beside the sentiment.

For this card I followed a Clean&Simple FTL98 sketch, combined with the curtain call act 39 over at Stacey's Stamping Stage.

Well thanks for stopping by and I do hope you all have something fabulous planned for the weekend, My little sister is coming down from QLD with her new boyfriend who I am looking forward to meeting, heard alot of good things about him. We'll be BBQ-ing at our Dads for lunch (in the middle of winter) and then a little bit of shopping on Sunday while John's parents take our girls out for an hour or two. I'm looking forward to relaxing :)
Take care xx

DT Wednesday ~a little something~

Good morning! I have a busy day planned today... drop Aimee at school, take Charlotte to the library and then playgroup and a whole lotta housework when I get home! I didn't get much done yesterday because John was home sick. But enough of that stuff!
I wrote this post up last night, and at 3am this morning we took John into emergency at the hospital, he has possible bowel infection from food poisoning. So all today's plans have gone out the window! I've just come home to feed the animals and to get some socks for Aimee as they were one of the things I forgot to put in the car at 3am... we're 25minutes from the hospital and last night I was trying to be as prepared for today as possible.

I would LOVE to share with you my share for The Stamp Spot Blog today! It's girly and pretty... and sadly the last prima flower in my stash... so I may just have to order some more!

I also used some lovely kaisercraft 'hey birdie' paper, ribbon, rhinestones, and buttons (check out that pink flower shaped one!)

Well thanks for stopping by, and if you're looking for some Christmas inspiration pop over to
The Stamp Spot Blog and check out Marcia's card on the Monday post! Fab-u-lous!
So clean and crisp I just love it!
I decided now would be a good time to start on mine now too, I left mine waaaay too late last year.
Enjoy your day! xx

~to you from me~

This is such a sweet colour combo! I found it over at Inkspirations Colour Challenge #32, on the fabulously talented Makeesha's blog. I combined it with the sketch from The Sweet Shop SSS65 AND pulled out my old cuttlebug tag die that I bought when I first got my Sizzix BigKick.

I really adore these paper roses and I've been giving my cuttlebug swiss dots folder and my fiskars threading water border punch a good work out too lately :)
Thanks for stopping by, it's about time to go and get the animals fed and some dinner cooking :) Hope you're all having a wonderful start to the week! Take care and don't forget to check out my blog candy while you're here, I have a direct link just underneath my blog title. Thanks again xx

~more Christmas in july~

Good afternoon, I've got another Christmas card to share, combining the Twisted Sketch #016 and Stacey's Curtain call Act #39! I added some little metal charms to the button on the flower for the twist!

Love this colour combo, although it's not quitte how I had it pictured in my head so you may see another take on it pop up here soon!

Thanks for stopping by, and if you are interested please put your name down for my candy, there is a link just below my blog title. Hope you're all having a great start to the week! Take care xx

~Aimee's card~

Good afternoon! Aimee and I had such a creative weekend! First she made a card for her own challenge blog, and then she even made a second for the Kona Kids Challenge #4 ~Bling it up~ and combined it with the Colour Create Challenge #49 ~ warm pinks, chocolate and white.

Aimee used kaisercraft rhinestones and a crystal brad, some sequined ribbon and I even let her try out the glimmer mist on her flowers. She did want to post this herself this afternoon, but after a big day at school decided to relax with some cartoons instead :)

A week or so ago she received a lovely parcel in the mail all the way from the USA, and she wanted to say a big thank you to Jan for being so kind! The parcel was full of crafty goodies including some red fibres, a packet of shiny butterfly embellishments (Aimee used one on this card!) and some clear stamps plus a lovely card or two! Aimee was so thrilled to see her name on the envelope!

Well thanks for stopping by, time to get some dinner started! Take care xx

~an award~

The fabulous Marcia was nice enough to nominate me for this lovley blog buddies award :)

I'd like to pass it on to the following friends for always having something nice to say when they pop past my blog :)

I'll be back with something special to share tomorrow ;)

~christmas in july~

Good afternoon!
Here is a little Christmas card I made for the Shabby Tea Room week #18.

Love this pink paislee 365 degrees paper! Marcia from The Stamp Spot sent me a few sheets in my DT package and once I saw it I had to pop over and order the whole pad! I distressed the edges and teamed it up with a doliey and some kaisercraft flowers. I gave them a little spray with some gold glimmer mist (Loving that too!), hand stitched some buttons onto the corners and added a couple of little soft pink rhinestones. The sentiment and old olive ink is from Stampin' up. I tried to get a close up of the flower with the glimmer mist... so pretty!

Thanks for stopping by, if you are interested I have a little blog candy open at the moment...

just trying to keep my crafty friends visiting while I am not here as much as usual :)
Hope you're all having a fabby weekend! Take care xx

Challenge #17 @ ECP

Challenge #17 over at Easy Craft Projects is an inspiration challenge! One of my favourite kind of challenges, as I love seeing how the same image inspires people differently :)

Here is the inspiration piece that Lisa provided:

I hope you can come and play along with us this fortnight!

I'm also linking it up for Allsorts Challenge #60 - july love
~to have a heart as the main focal point on your project ~

And... while I was hoping around checking out all the entries for challenge# 16, I came across some amazing cards made by Barbra at Forgotten Scraps. ~follow your dreams...

...wherever they take you... is the sentiment on my teeny tiny 4inch cirlce card today.

I combined the white space challenge for Day #135 at 365 cards with the OTWC challenge #15.

As soon as I saw Pam's little sketch I remembered these old unmounted stamps I bought over 12 months ago and can't remember using... the flowers are kaisercraft and I used my circle nesties to cut out the card base. Well short and sweet because Kim's inlinkz close in 10 minutes lol I have a bad habit of leaving things to the last minute!
Thanks for stopping by xx

just a little card...

...and by little I'm talking 4x4!
I haven't completed a card for a challenge from 365Cards for a little while now but when I saw Pam's recipe for day 134 I thought I would like to give it a try! I made a top fold card, and my hand stitching is the button on the butterfly...

Papers are from the crate paper paper doll collection, kaisercraft rhinestones, and the flowers, sentiment and butterfly punch all come from stampin' up.
Thanks for stopping by, and please stop back before the weekend to see my DT work for ECP challenge blog :)
