Yesterday I posted a new challenge over at The Stamp Spot blog, we have a fabulous sketch designed by Liz Weber for your inspiration for the whole month! Not to mention Michelle sends out a prize for the winner at the end of the month!! Gotta be in it to win some lovely crafting goodies :)

~Pretty Little Baby Card~

Cutting it fine again :)

Entering this card into CPS #252

I've used Some MFT Die-naimcs = by the letters, dainty doily duo and petel trio. The paper is from the PLS Summer Breeze 8x8 paper pack, rhinestones from kaisercraft and ribbon and brad from my stash.

the paper the letters are cut from can be found here at a fabulous price! Already textured and a lovely thickness to work with.

I'll also share some photos of some of the lovlies growing in our front garden... Jap pumpkins and some Rockmelons!

We also have some watermelons starting, Hoping for lots of rain next week as it has been so hot and dry here we have to water morning and night and the tank is getting low so I am holding off doing washing lol (any excuse right?) and re-cycling as much water as possible. I also re-potted some tomato seedling last weekend, there were 4 seedlings and I bought a cheaper bag and a more expensive bag of potting mix, I potted up two of each and its amazing to see the difference already! Will share some photos during the week :)

ok a sink full of breakfast dishes with my name on it are waiting paitently in the kitchen... must be off.

ok I am cutting it fine with this one... the link for Card Patterns 148 closes in 32minutes...

I have been working on this card for most of the week, last night decided to pull my poor neglected sewing machine out of the cupboard and sew around the 4 panels of the sketch. So happy with how it turned out :)

patten paper, ink and sentiment are stampin up, the doily and number 7 are both MFT die-namics, flower is green tara, rhinestones are kaisercraft and buttons and ribbon were pulled out of my stash :)

Goodmorning crafty friends, I have a DT project to share over on The Stamp Spot blog at 10am (QLD time) this morning, using some lovely papers, Fairy Princess stamps and die-namics that can all be found in the store. I also used Stampin' up classic inks in bashful blue, so saffron and pretty in pink. perfect match for the Pretty Little Studio summer breeze paper pack :)

Over at ICS this week Dawn let us choose any current sketch to work with, I picked CPS #249.

I love the clean lines of the CPS sketchs and check out the Design teams amazing work each week, but dont always find time to play along. This weeks sketch is fabulous, I had so many ideas and am sure to use it again!

loving the MFT hearts-a-plenty die-namics and twine from the twinery. Also used some lettering and a button from my stash, paper from my cut-off box with my carl corner rounder.

Good evening crafty friends :)

I have just whipped up a card for the fabric challenge over at Fresh Brewed Blog, I cut a denim heart from Johns old jeans with my MFT hearts a plenty die. I've also used some lovely Christmas paper from the 8x8 Holiday Style paper pack (Loving this pack!), and Twine from The Twinery. Sentiment is from Stampin' up and stamped in old olive ink, button from my stash.

And over at ICS challenge blog, Fresh Brewed Designs are the generous sponsor this week!

Here is my card based on the sketch #143, using up Christmas stuff from my stash.

Well that's it from me tonight, off to get some much needed sleep now :) I have a big shopping day tomorrow. Might even make it into spotlight for a new paper trimmer.. they have 60% off one the same as mine but my numbers have rubbed off over time and cant see the measurements anymore. Time to upgrade and dear little Aimee can have my old one :)

~Tim Holtz 12 tags of Christmas day 2~

Hi again! Second tag is completed, Loving the techniques and tips that Tim Holtz has been sharing during his 12 tags of Christmas posts. This is my take on his second tag...

Now I know what you're thinking... nothing like it lol. I embossed the tag with cuttlebug 'script' folder and sponged around the edge with soft suede. I have no deer's so I went with a Christmas Tree, and

the accordian flower was staring up at me saying 'use me... use me' so i did. The letter brads down the bottom that spell 'JOY' have been in my stash for years. I loved pulling out the beads for yesterdays tag so since I have nothing similar to the H Tim used, I thought I would use some more beads.

Off to work on the 4th tag now! well... after tea. Take care x

~Tim Holtz 12 Days of Christmas day 3~

Hello friends! Back again to share another tag I created after seeing Tim Holtz third tag from the 12 tags of Christmas.

I really wasnt sure what to do for this as I dont have a background stamp suitable, let alone an embossing folder... so I went with stamping seperate Christmas sentiments in old olive, baja breeze and cherry cobler ink. I sponged around the whole tag (which is so saffron cardstock) with soft suede ink.

The flowers come from the Green Tara petal pack, both ribbons, the twine and rhinestones available in The Stamp Spot online store.

I 'borrowed' the bell off a jester hat from the girls dress-up box... it already had a bell missing so I don't think they will notice another one!

Well thanks for stopping in today! Off to cook some spaghetti bol for the family now, then bath and pajama my girls so we are ready to watch Merlin at 6.30. I look forward to it all week :)

~Tim Holtz 12 tags of Christmas day 1~

Woo Hoo!

I am so glad I came across Tim Holtz posting his 12 tags of Christmas! So much detail to his creations and i love how he has been sharing bonus techniques after his tag. Im sharing my take on Day 1 and then off to work on day 2 and 3 :) I hope to play along with all 12 tags.

Here is my tag!

My tag is Stampin' up Baja breeze, cuttlebug embossing folder (snowflakes) and then sponged around the edges with baja breeze ink. The chipboard lettering lost its packaging along time ago, could be heidi swapp? and i covered it in 2 way glue and covered it in glitter like Tim did, love how it turned out, gave my dusty old chipboard a new lease on life! The music paper is some leftover from a tag kit Michelle sent me out last month, sponged it with soft suede ink, the leaves are a mcgill leaf punch and inked with old olive. The florals come from the Green Tara Petal pack... so many awesome colour combinations in the bag, love it! The brad is an old one i've been hoarding for too long, Basic Grey I believe but also lost his packaging. Up top is an old gold satin krush ribbon with some cool beads and a charm on some tiger tail. I have a stack of beads from a jewellery making phase i went thru years ago... you might see some more of them here again soon :)

Inkspirations meets Cupcake!

Goodmorning crafty friends!

First up I am excited to share with you the new sketch for the entire month of December over on The Stamp Spot blog!

And here is my card which measures 14cm x 14cm, based on the sketch which was designed by the fabulous Liz Weber.

I have used some paper from the Bazzill 8x8 Holiday Style paper pack, The Twinery honeydew twine, Green Tara pleated organza ribbon, Green Tara petal pack, Double Scallop border die-namics, frosted lace stickles, and the Christmas sentiment was stamped with a clear emboss stamp pad and white embossing powder.

Brad and butterflies are from my stash.

Im not sure about the bling on this one... but once I had stuck it down there was no re-positioning as the adhesive on these rhinestones is too tacky. But at least I know they wont fall off.

Good evening crafty friends, lovely Saturday night for sharing a card I worked on this afternoon :)

I've used the sketch over at Mojo Monday this week for my layout, and colour inspiration comes from the fab cake photo over at The Stamp Spot monthly challenge.

and here is my card from a few different angles. Ive been taking my photos of cards outside, as the spot I like in the bathroom is now shaded by the Japanese maple tree outside the window.

For this card I used rhinestones, dainty doily duo die-namics, perfect petal trio die-namics, cuttlebug swiss dots embossing folder, carl corner rounder, McGill leaf punch, Stampin' up sentiment, rhinestone brad and inks in basic grey, so saffron and baja breeze.

Good morning! I am stopping in to share a card for the new sketch this week at the ICS challenge blog. here is the sketch:

and here is a Christmas card I made using 'a snow scene' digi image as we are lucky to be sponsored by Digi Doodles this week! I'm not confident with colouring in, so I sponged around the image with old olive ink and used some lovely frosted lace stickles for the snow. The snow flakes are from the MFT die-namics range.

Hello again, 2 more Christmas cards to share, both based on the colour challenge #142 over at Crafty Creations Challenge. Purple, Green Silver and Snow... I used a different shade of purple for each card.

The bracket tab, snow flakes and stars are both cut with MFT die-namics, available at The Stamp Spot online store along with the silver rhinestones and white embossing powder.

Ribbons from my stash, cuttlebug swiss dots and snowflakes embossing folders.. stampin up for the cardstock and sentiments... and my carl corner rounder. I think that covers everything!

Card Patterns meets the Ribbon Reel :)

Hello friends, back to share another card combining the oh-so-happy colour combo from The Ribbon Reel this fortnight and the tiny-bit-tricky sketch from Card Patterns.

Sentiments, pattern paper and inks all from Stampin' up, Ribbon and rhinestones from The Stamp Spot online store.

I dont usually make more than one of the same card, but this one was quick and simple and I can see myself making a pack of 5 or so to put for sale at Johns workplace :) might even do another 5 with a differnt colour combo.

Wonderful Wednesday...

well... every day is wonderful, really. Don't have to look far for things to be greatful for :) I am so lucky on so many levels. And the rest... well today I wont let it get me down :)

Im here to share a card based on the CPS sketch #242 this week, and I have combined it with the lovely inspiration photo over at The Shabby Tearoom. Deb is sponsoring the prize there this week, lots of yummy shabby vintage seam binding!

Ive used a combination of products for this card, free pattern paper that came with a card making magazine, MFT die-namics for the sentiment bracket tab, perfect petal trio and heart. The leaf punch is McGills and the stamp and sentiment both stampin' up. I sponged around the edges, cherry cobbler for the sentiment, pumpkin pie for the flourish stamp and so saffron on the flowers petals.

ICS plus Cupcake Inspiration...

Good evening bloggers!

Stopping in to share my DT card for the new sketch this week at ICS.

We have a fabulous sponsor, Heather from Fresh Brewed designs who generously donated some images for the DT to work with (I chose not to use it for this card) and she is offering a fab prize of 3 digi images of the winners choice!

Here is the sketch:

And here is my card from a few different angles, hard to pick up the yellow ink i used for the sentiment in the bright light this morning:

I used some lovely Emmas shoppe paper, MFT die-namics butterflies, felt and twine, pistachio ribbon, spellbinders scallops circles, rhinestones in split pea and a button from my stash. The felt flowers are Stampin' up (long retired and just as long hoarded in my stash) Also the rose red card stock for the base, rhinestone brad, sentiment and rose red and so saffron inks and the flourish stamp on the white half scalloped circles are all stampin' up.

And here is the inspiration photo I was inspired by over at Cupcake Inspirations... the colours of the cake not the black backdrop.

It's been a while since my last post. It gets late and I think oh I will just do it tomorrow, but then I run out of time and it continues on in that fashion. Right now I have time :) and the challenges are still current yay :)

My DT card for the sketch #134 over at ICS this week, we have a twist to make a shaped card...

I cut mine using a scalloped circle nestability, more of those yummy MFT die-namics hearts also some split pea rhinestones and sentiment from Stampin' up. Oh and my swiss dots cuttlebug embossing folder.

Alrighty my next is a card based on the Twisted Sketches #79 with the twist being felt.

I cut some butterfly MFT die-namics with the MTF felt, added an open scallop border die cut and some buttons, paper from my scrap box... I think the red is Stampin' up and the blue is Echo Park. Oh and the frosted lace stickles around the edge of my sentiment.

A card using some absolutely beautiful paper from the Prima Sparkling Spring 6x6 Pad and more butterfly die-namics and some rhinestones too! Cut the oval and scalloped oval with my spellbinders nestabilites :) sentiment is Stampin' up from one of the hostess sets in the new catalog. I love sentiment stamps can never have enough!

I used tattered angels glimmer mist - juniper. I won it as part of a prize pack from cardabilities ages ago and glad I found a reason to try it out!

Card Patters and Sketchbook Saturday

Good evening, I meant to post these cards earlier in the week.

I have made a card based on the simple sketch #132 this week at Card Patterns, I used the colour combo from The Paper Players colour challenge #63.
I used rich razzleberry, old olive, basic grey and whisper white, also the border punch and the strip of pattern paper are all Stampin' up.

The felt heart is from the MFT die-namics range, available at TSS online store along with a range of MFT felts.

My next card uses Chupas sketch from her blog, on the Sketchbook Saturday post (she has a link in the left sidebar) Chupa is a cardmaker extraordinaire! So much inspiration to be found at her blog, be sure to stop by and have a browse.

The paper comes from a fab collection of Prima papers sent to me by the oh-so-lovely Annmaree (thanks girl I appreciate the happy snail mail!) the butterfly is a stampin' up punch and the sentiment is Stampin' up also. The doily is another of the MFT die-namics, and comes in the dainty doily duo. Michelle's prices are fantastic... I can afford to collect all the dies I like from TSS lol. Also available there are a variety of twines!

Well that's it for me tonight... John watching footy and 2 out of 3 girls sleeping. Dishes done and washing folded and I can hear my craft desk calling me!

Hi friends! Here to share my DT card for ICS this week, another wonderful sketch to work with!

My second card was a bit quicker to put together, I thought the medallion stamp worked nicely for the sketch too! I really like this rose red and baja breeze colour combo.

CPS meets ColourQ...

Good evening! I have all my fingers and toes crossed to win the AWESOME prize over at CPS this week, 10 itty bitty stamps from Unity! How cool! I checked out the link and there are heaps of sweet little designs that I would be more than happy to give a new home to :)

But onto my card! I have combined the tricky sketch #233 from CPS with the pretty colour challenge #101 from ColourQ....

What do you think?

Reasonably straight forward, no pattern paper in sight! I didn't have the exact same colours as the challenge, so I used Baja Breeze, Old Olive, and Rich Razzleberry, and the lilacy coloured ribbon from my stash. I used my new sponge (I think this is my new favourite technique!), Stampin' up binder punch, MFT Dainty Doily Duo Die-namics, corner rounder and the flower stamp is from Stampin' up Organic grace, the sentiment is from Stampin' up Pocket silhouettes. Oh and the little ribbon slider is spellbinders ribbon tags trio.

I'm off for a hop around some challenge blogs, see if I can find something else that inspires me to create since my girls have started sleeping the whole night again and I'm not too tired :)

~September Challenge @ TSS plus some more catching up!~

Hmm been a little while since my last post :( life has been busy and my 2 youngest have not been letting me get a full night sleep either. But I have a few cards to share today, just catching up!

First I'd like to share a card I made for the month long September Inspiration challenge over at The Stamp Spot.

Here is the photo to draw inspiration from:

and here is my first card from a few different angles :)

Now to tell you how I created the bird image on the card...

Over at Unstampabelles they have an Animal Challenge. There is also the optional challenge of embossing. I cut the bird and cage from Tim Holtz die that Michelle from The Stamp Spot ordered especially for me (she is such a sweetheart!) then I embossed the bird with swiss dots folder and inked up a sponge with dark pink ink and wiped inwards on the bird.

See that bow? Guess how long I spent trying to get it to sit right....

The piece of paper that I had the bird on top of while I was inking is the one I used on my first card. I decided would look nice on a card. so there is my story lol.

OK next is a card for the great sketch over at Card and a Half!

I did the same sponging and inking to the outline of my oval as I did to the Tim Holtz bird.

Hello crafty friends!

teal & orange colour kits

Good afternoon, I'm trying to be quick as I have lots to do before I head off to card night at my friend Emma's house this evening.

Ok... onto my cards.....

This one follows the sketch over at Card Positioning Systems #225 (I love this site) and it uses some more BG sweet threads 6x6 paper pad, I'm almost out of this sad to say, definatley been a favourite. The stamp and sentiment are Stampin' up.

So I finally got around to trying an accordian flower... I found a tutorial on Lea's blog along time ago. This card is based on the sketch at Card Patterns #122 and the colour inspiration come from The Stamp Spot monthly challenge for July.. please pop over and check it out! I based it on the sketch over at Card Patterns this week.

I used some lovely Sweet Shop double-sided paper, this one is YUM! Dragged my scissor blade around the edges for a distressed look.

also added some green tara paper roses and split pea rhinestones. You can find all these products and more at The Stamp Spot online store.

Goodmoring! Just a quick post to share the card I made yesterday inspired by the fantastic sketch over at Card Patterns Sketch 118 this week! Check out the amazing work from the DT you wont be disappointed!

Sentiment, cardstock and pattern paper all Stampin' up, flowers and rhinestones are kaisercraft and the brad is Basic Grey if I remember correctly. Also used my fiskars boarder punch and the ink is Stampin' up's cherry cobbler.

Thanks for stopping by this afternooon, I'm here to share a card inspired by the new sketch over at CPS using some beautiful BG Sweet Threads 6x6 paper from The Stamp Spot online store. I've also used an old technique I discovered over at the blog of the marvousley talented Rae Barthel, turning circles of paper cut with spellbinders nestabilities into these beautiful spiral flowers.Quick easy and loving the outcome everytime!

Hope you're all enjoying a wonderful start to the week! Ours was a very cold one this morning, light rain during the night and a frost this morning, and a layer of ice covered the cars in the driveway and the grass on the backyard... but there will be worse to come! So loving the wood heater this time of year, very relaxing sitting in the lounge keeping warm of an evening

Card Patterns 115

Hi all, a quick stop in to share a card I whipped up last night inspired by Card Patterns sketch #115 using some lovely Collage Press paper from the sweet shoppe collection. You can find these papers for half price at The Stamp Spot!

I also used a doiley, circle nestabilities, pink rhinestones and a brown tara rose

(let me add I ended up spraying the whole card with glimmermist which made the doiley curl up, so I stuck in under a heavy book which flattened the rose a bit. I should have added the rose last... a learning experince)

I'm so behind with my blogging at the moment... life has been getting in the way lol but what can you do! Time stops for no-one.

Ok first up is a card using some awesome Stamp Spot products, and last weeks sketch #217 from CPS.

The next one uses some more great Stamp Spot stuff and a sketch from... blah I cant find it... but it's probably too late to enter now anyway! Love how crisp these colours turned out in the photo.

This one is my DT card for ICS # 114 (oh so very very late... new sketches every Tuesday! If you like a sketch please pop over and check it out!!) This week we are being sponsored by Bunny Zoe Crafts.

And last but not least I have my DT card for ECP the theme this week is pretty pastels, you have a 2 weeks to play along and win a fab prize!

for my card I cut 2 squares of pattern paper and layed one on top of the other when I cut, so that the pieces would fit perfectly.

Last but not least here is my card for ECP #37 ~ royal wedding theme. I made a 'congratulations' card.

Maybe you could combine the sketch and wedding themes? be in with a chance at winning two great prizes!

I've used the neat sketch 215 over at CPS and the papers are all Crate Paper from the paper doll collection.

Hello friends! Time for another fantastic sketch over at the ICS challenge blog... if you're quick you may still have time to participate in our blog hop! Lots of prizes from the DT member along with our wonderful company sponsors and the sketch last week #111 was soooo easy peasy!

Here is what I did with this weeks sketch...

We are being sponsored by Fresh brewed designs this week. I made this card a little larger than normal so I could fit this super cute owl digi in with the sketch. For only $3.00 who could resist!

The pattern paper is from stampin' up... sorta looks like I've stuck the blue pattern upside down lol oh well...

Hi all, just popping in real quick to share a card based on the sketch #112 over at Card Patterns this week. I've used some lovely crate paper from the restoration collection, you can see the details over at The Stamp Spot blog.

Hand up if you ever had a baby who wouldnt give you more than 3 hours sleep at a time... mine is up lol. Ella has just gone to bed so I better go catch up on some ZZZs while I can :)

At 8 months old she is cutting the last of her first 4 teeth, hopefully then we get some sleep before the next lot come thru around 12 months old (fingers crossed anyway) not enough sleep really effects the way the brain works.

Good morning!

Bright and early with my first DT card for Sketch #110 over at ICS!

This week we are sponsored by the fabulous DZ doodles and the winner receives 3 digital images to play with! I've used the apple blossoms digi on my card.

Happy Hello!

I am dropping in to share a card I made last night using the Fab sketch over at Card Patterns this week...

and combined it with the super sweet colour inspiration over at The Lollipop Ladies...

and here is my card...

I have a few of these A4 plastic orange fiskars shape stencils and a shape cutter, probably some of the first things I bought when I started scrapbooking/cardmaking but hardly ever use anymore. The right hand side boarder of the kraft piece was made using one of these, I just wanted something a bit different to my scallop border punch.

Also coming into the colder months here and wondering weather anyone can share with me, some tips on better photography? My camera always wants to use the flash but I don't like it... I've seen some light boxes but not wanting to spend too much (would rather spend it on craft supplies)

Hello crafty friends!

The first card I have to share with you is based on the twisted sketches #51, the twist is buttons! I had no problems there :-) I found my colour inspiration over at The Lollypop Ladies with challenge #16!

My second card uses the sketch #79 over at GetSketchy this week... this is definately a sketch I will use again!

Keeping it short and sweet today, better go and get some tea started, my hungry husband will be home in less than half an hour :) I'm thinking chicken rolls and a side salad... we'll pretend it still feels like summer.

Hello! Just dropping in to share a card I made for the fab sketch over at CardPatterns this week. Love it, and the prize is a scrummy one too!

Cardstock, sentiment, and pattern paper is all Stampin' up, ribbon from my stash. Pearls are kaisercraft (available at The Stamp Spot online store if your in Australia) and the butterfly is a martha stewart punch.

I'm hoping to go down to the August show, John said April is a bit soon and Ella still a bit little... by that I'm hoping he means in August I can leave her at home with him! I've combined the fab sketch #102 from Card Patterns with the Colour Q Challenge #71

Didn't have all the right pinks in my stash and only one pink ink.. its a bit bright I think.

Cardstock, stamps, sentiment, ink and butterfly punch are from Stampin' up, and the button, twine, lace and rhinestones all come from The Stamp Spot online store. Also used my cuttlebug swiss dots folder to give the butterfly a bit of detail.

Wow it feels like ages since I've blogged... or even crafted. I have no good excuse, I suppose I've been getting Aimee's things ready for school and going to bed a bit earlier, and I've been reading... Richard Carlsons 'don't sweat the small stuff... and it's all small stuff'

I found it a very good read if your into those sorta books :-)

So anyway I have... 2 cards to share.

The first is fairly plain and I feel like its lacking something.... I used the oh-so-yummy mint fudge inspiration over at The Lollipop Ladies. (They have a design team call out atm, please pop over quick fast and check it out!!)

It's a birthday card for my little brother, he is turning 20 on tuesday.

My second card combines the fabulous colour challenge #127 at Color Throwdown this week and the equally fabulous sketch #24 from Cardabilities.

Can I mention that I won an absolutley amazing prize from the lovely Karan from cardabilities at the end of last year? Have a peek at the box of goodness!

I'll be paying it forward so keep an eye out for a candy give-away soon... just gotta get to the shops!
